Chad Allen who played Matthew Cooper in this series is in a new movie called, End Of The Spear. I read on a website that he was gay. Is this true.

yes, chad allen is gay for a fact because i was reading this newsweek article, and evidently his movie is kind of christian, and everyone was getting mad because they cast a one of hollywoods biggest gay activist, Chad Allen, to play this guy. so all the churches were like, we can't support this movie, which i think is kind of dumb, because it doesn't really matter, imo. but i would be interested in hearing what the movie is about if anyone knows.

This is what his movie end of the spear is about. I still dont' think he's gay though. I just found amazing pictures of him w/a 6 pack!

Mincayani is born into the most violent society ever documented by anthropologists, the Waodani in the eastern rainforest of Ecuador. As he grows he learns what every Waodani understands, he must spear and live or be speared and die. Mincayani's world changes when he and his family kill five missionaries, Nate Saint, Jim Elliot, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming and Roger Youderian. This incident propels Mincayani's family group down an extraordinary path that culminates in them not only departing from violence, but also caring for the enemy tribe they had once violently raided.

Nate Saint's son Steve was a boy when his father and friends were killed. He returns to the Waodani as an adult and finally learns from Mincayani what happened during the last minutes of his father's life. Together Mincayani and Steve find that what Nate accomplished in his death gave them both a new life and Steve's family becomes part of Mincayani's family.

Wow, that movie sounds like it could still be interesting. I'm taking a lot of sociology/anthropolgy courses right now for my major, so this sounds really neat!

If its true that CA is gay...well, thats an unfortunate loss for the straight people, but the gay community gets a bonus! I guess that either way, he can still be admired. Its surprising...I definitely hadn't heard anything about that before.

I think the show was called 100 Greatest Teen Stars, on hour 3, number 51/52 Chad Allen was listed. It said something about how when he was 25 he came out. So i guess it's offically true, he's gay. :-/

Yes, Chad Allen is gay. I read somewhere that he came out while he was on Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman. Frankly I think people too often get hung up on this gay thing. So what if he's gay, it's nothing wrong with that. I think he is a wonderful actor and I would love to see more of him. I hope End of the Spear is released worldwide and not just in the U.S.

I'm a huge Dr Quinn fan and think it was a shame that he wasn't in the two Dr Quinn movies, Revolutions and The Heart Within.

I have known he was gay for years the sad part is it bothers people, and most of all the controversy over him playing a christian, Gay people believe in God, or don't the same as the rest of us.. it is not a sin.. God loves everyone and I am straight..

    That is about this movie
and the controversie about Chad being gay

I think it is really *&&cked up,
always you here America this America that
but damn some people are small minded.

They think the movie might inspire kids to become gay....
    right...

First of all the movie isn't even about gay people and second of all I think turning gay isn't happening because of movies.

I don't get encouraged to kill people with a mask after I see Scream (for example)

You only live once I think you should do what you want with you life (up to a certaion point of course no killing and that stuff) to be happy.

btw I'm not gay (before anyone thinks I am)
