Pike's Peace has always been one of my favorite episodes. Eve Brenner does a fantastic job as Sam Lindsey, a teacher from Vermont who gives the ultimate lesson about life and living. She challenges Michaela to be true to herself and reevaluate her relationship with her mother. She is perfect reminder to all of us to take the time and enjoy life with all of its beauty, music, miracles, and sorrows. Somehow, Sam comes into Colorado Springs and touches the lives of everyone she comes into contact with. I think that people like that are rare gems in life and when we meet those people, even if it is vicariously on television, it is special and we never forget it. I was almost in awe, after I watched this episode and would recommend it to anyone, even those who don't follow the series.moreless
