Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman

Preston is very excited when the poet Walt Whitman agrees to come to Preston's hotel to recover from his stroke. But when Dr. Mike treats him, she believes something else is wrong. She advises him to send for his comrade. The town soon becomes abuzz with a rumour that Whitman prefers the company of men. The town becomes hostile. Preston tries to send Walt away and cancels the poetry reading. Even Dr. Mike becomes a bit suspicious when Whitman and Brian spend some time together. But Sully helps Michaela to get over her predjudice and the poetry reading is held.
