  • A great episode, that brings back some of our favourite DBZ villains! Cell, frieza, Nappa and a whole bunch of others! The Z fighters are able to show how much they've improved since the last time they met!moreless

    9.2
The episode begins with an interesting meeting between 17 and Trunks, that reminds us of future trunks and his battles with the androids! Copping a beating, Trunks heads to Goku and Chi Chi's house!

It was great to see the adult Z fighters taking on the villains they met as children, especially seeing Goten, who doesn't get much screen time during the series, fighting villains. And an awesome scene where trunks comes to the aide of his old friend!!

Another awesome scene occurs when Nappa meets back up with Vegeta. Vegeta, having become worlds ahead of Nappa, easily kills him, but some funny banter is what makes the scene special!

What a team hey? Frieza and Cell! The build up to this is awesome. The villains from two of the greatest sagas in anime and manga history! HAHA! Not a whole lot of fighting, but next episode it will begin!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (7)

    • Android #17 was brought back to life after Cell exploded, he was seen lots later toward the end of the Kid Buu Saga helping gather energy.

    • None escaped from or still in HFIL have halos, however in DBZ when HFIL would be shown, there would frequently be times when seeing the natives there with halos, basically just an animation mistake that was never fixed. BTW, movies 1, 5, 9, and 13 are included on an official time-line bracket provided by TOEI, I have it myself and can say that those movies (along with the specials) are indeed part of the ANIME (not manga) timeline.

    • That was a dubline mistake. 17 was alive after they revived everyone killed by Cell in DBZ. Both the Cell saga and this saga never clarrified that 17 was actually revived them in the American dub version.

    • Cooler, Frieza's brother, is seen in his 4th transformation, but in the DBZ movies "Cooler's Revenge" and "The Return of Cooler", he died in the 3rd transformation.

    • Wheen Gero asks Myuu for help, he says he needs the most intelligent mind of the tuffles, if you watched the baby saga, you'd know Myuu's not a tuffle, he's a machine mutant

    • Pui Pui and Yakon still have their M logo on them although they are not being controlled by Babadi.

    • Trunks and Goten destroyed Android 19 with energy beams. If you watch the Android Saga you will see that Android 19 cannot be destroyed with energy beams because he can absorb them with "Ki Absorbtion".
