Chow time for Dragon Ball movie

Turning any popular animated property into a live-action film is always a risky venture, but when the fan base is as fanatical as Dragon Ball's is, the film better have some sort of legitimacy.

The movie was officially announced in mid-November, but the names Justin Chatwin (who will play the main character Goku) and James Wong (director, Final Destination) didn't exactly impress.

Now it appears that Dragon Ball may have finally landed that big name it so desperately needed. Chow Yun-Fat has signed on to play Goku's mentor Master Roshi, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The prolific Chinese actor has been a Hong Kong action star for decades as John Woo's go-to guy, starring in acclaimed films such as The Killer and the A Better Tomorrow trilogy. His American break came in 2000 with a starring role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and he recently appeared ...
