  • Happy Ending :]

atlast the Shadow Dragons have been defeated, and Shenron tells everyone why the Dragon Balls were cracked. Shenron decides to remove himself, and offers Goku to come along. Goku says his goodbyes to every friend he had, and leaves...(for now.) Pan has grown.

Why did I classify it "Painful to Watch"? Because it's the end. The end of the end for the entire series. There is NO more. It's very sad to see such a good series, (DB, DBZ/ DBGT) finally to be put at end. It was a nice way to end...! I wish all the prducers and publishers the best of luck with everything!moreless

he end to one of the greatest animes ever. This episode actually brought tears to my eyes. I wish they described everything that happened though to many unanswered questions.(Example.What happened to all the Z-Fighters after Goku left. And who is the fathers of Goku.Jr and Vegeta.Jr?) I wish they created another season or even one last episode including all the Z-Fighters for one last reunion in other world possibly? Or even maybe a new saga about Goku.Jr and Vegeta.Jr and bring some other characters into it like possibly a granddaughter of Krillen or the new guardian of Earth? But I Would love to see one last episode of a reunion with everyone in other world and Goku late again as usual.moreless
  • One of the worst finales ever.

I'm not going to dwell on why this episode was terrible because simply put there's no need to. It was put together like a 3rd graded worked in editing. It made absolutely no sense. No questions were answered. Goku's leaving was very abrupt. His "return" at the end was pointless. You almost fell like your favorite characters kind of got cheated since they all just die off screen with no explanation or closure, and it didn't leave you with that warm and fuzzy that finales are supposed to. Clearly a miss on what was supposed to be the send off for an otherwise good show.moreless
  • not the end

we can only hope that there will be a future season of Dragonball, i mean we still have to learn more about the goku jr. generation how it came to be. what happened to vegeta, what happened to roshi, what happend to (Good) majin Buu, who did pan get to meet, what happened to piccolo, who is vegeta jr's dad, who is goku jr's dad, where are his parents, what events took place before that tournament, what happened after that tournament, where did goku go, how well did vegeta do the job goku gave him, did gotenks ever have to be used.moreless

It was a grat ending to a great series

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Even in the Uncut Japanese version on the Generations DVD, the ending Japanese credits are censored. They are also not present on Toei's Dragon Boxes, so it is not Funi's fault.

    • In the "edited" version, they still show Bulma holding a gun in the flashback.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Narrator: And now we end the story of the Dragonballs with the hope that the Earth will never again see the kind of darkness that brought it close to extinction so many times, but if that day comes, there is one who will step out of the shadows and fight in the name of all that is good and true!

    • (flashback)
      Goku: I'm Goku!
      Mr. Popo: He's Goku!

    • Roshi: Tell Shenron thanks for the dragonballs, Goku, and I hope you're journey brings you back home some-day.

    • Vegta: You put up a good fight there weirdo. I didn't think I was gonna have a chance to do this thing. (Turns Super Saiyan)
Goku Jr.: Well if that's how you wanna play it. (Turns Super Saiyan)
Vegeta: Hey that's pretty cool there I didn't know we could both become blonde.

    • last line of DBGT

Goku: 'Til we meet again, guys!

    • Goku's last words to his family and friends
      Goku: Goodbye, everyone!
Chi Chi: Goku, you're crazy! You don't even know where he's taking you!

    • Piccolo: (to Goku in HFIL) Please tell me you didn't die again!

  • NOTES (11)

    • First and so far the only time that we see the Nimbus Cloud, The Kame House and Master Roshi's Turtle in Dragon Ball GT.

    • Bluewater Title: Farewell, Goku. Until We Meet Again.

    • First aired on YTV June 24, 2005.

    • Krillin is wished back a fourth and final time, however he off-screen dies supposedly of old age during the 100 year duration, giving him a record of the most deaths in DB/Z/GT history:

      1, Killed by Tamborine.
      2, Killed by Frieza.
      3, Killed by Evil Buu.
      4, Killed by Android 17.
5, Supposedly Dies eventually of old age.

    • Shenron grants the last ever wish in the history of the Dragonball trilogy, to restore all those whom died since the enemies from Hell returned.

    • All of the scenes in the "flashback" sequence have their appropriate lines being spoken by the characters, rather than it being a musical montage. It's really... well, it's bad. It doesn't give any kind of sense of "closure" or "hope," but... whatever.

    • Throughout most of Dragonball Gt Series Goku has done more killing then in Dragonball Z.

    • The Flashbacks are: Goku as a Baby meeting his Grandfather, Goku meeting Bulma, the Turtle, Master Roshi, Oolong, Yamcha and Puar, Ox King, ChiChi, Pilaf summoning the Eternal Dragon, Goku turning into Ozaro, Goku meeting Krillin, Launch, Korin, Baba, Yajirobe, Mr. Popo, Kami, 17, 18, 16, Kibito and Supreme Kai, Elder Kai, Goku defeating Piccolo Daimao, Freeza kiiling Krillin, Goku turning Super Saiyan, Gohan defeating Cell, Goku defeating Buu and Baby, Goku meeting Goten and Pan as a child.

    • The Japanese themesong "Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku" is played, in Japanese during the ending flashbacks of Goku first meeting Goten etc. in the Blue Water dub.

    • Many hardcore Dragonball fans don't even consider GT to be a true continuation at all...it was produced purly for financial purposes and only had character designs produced from the creator of the series...not storylines, hence why it isn't popular or considered "cannon"

    • This is the final episode of DBGT. With the exception of the DBGT special, Goku Junior's Quest, there's has not been any other series made after this one. the DBGT Special Goku Junior's Quest was made, but it's to tell the story of Goku Junior, whom you see fighting at the end of this episode. In the time line, that special occurs before the World Martial Arts Tournament that Goku Junior is in. Anything else found are just fanfics or photoshop created pictures.
