This episode only shows Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu's power heightened. There isn't much happening other than them fighting Piccolo as training. The episode is a drawback from the exceptionally good episodes that just passed. Although Piccolo is beaten by all three fighters at the same time, they wouldn't stand a chance if they were to fight him alone. Piccolo is shown to be quite efficient, however, so all Piccolo fans would most likely enjoy this episode. However, it lacks the sheer ferocity of episodes from before. The likes of Chiaotzu, Yamcha, Piccolo, and Tien are seen as a more major focus for this episode than the likes of Goku, which is pretty much a bonus, since it can get very tiring seeing Vegeta and Goku as the main focus.moreless

As Bulma\'s father and his crew work on Kami\'s spaceship, Bulma telephones Krillin telling him about the spaceship. Krillin immediately relays the news to Goku, Gohan, and Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi suddenly leaves for no apparent reason, and Gohan sees this as his chance to train, since Goku and Krillin were sleeping. When Chi-Chi comes back, she finds him gone and is furious with Goku and Krillin for letting him leave. Gohan is actually training doing vertical pull-ups on the hospital walls. Next he practices balance by walking on the rails. He hears his mother coming, and when she finds him, he is reading. His excuse is that he wanted to enjoy the nice weather.
