In the Japanese version of this episode, Krillin was told to let Vegeta go because Goku wanted to be the one who beat Vegeta once and for all. In the uncut English version, Krillin was told to let Vegeta go because Goku believed that if someone like Piccolo could become good, Vegeta could also become good to.
Krillin actually says "damn" in the Cartoon Network airing of this episode.

Goku uses Kaioken x3 and he can not stop crushing - Vegeta gets angry and uses Galick Gun against Goku who uses kaioken x3 x4 Kamehameha - Goku wins but Vegeta is not dead...
In the original English dubbed version, Vegeta said Goku's father was the one who created the blood waves in order for them to transform into giant apes.
