  • Piccolo becomes a slave to Garlic Jr. after he is bitten by those infected by the mist. Gohan and Krillin go to the lookout to get the sacred water so they can reverse the effects of the mist.moreless

    8.0
The episode starts off with Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo at Master Roshi's house. Everyone else besides them has been infected by the mist and is attacking them. To make matters worse Garlic Jr.'s henchmen have come to take Gohan. It is revealed that Garlic Jr. was able to break free from the Dead Zone because of the Makio Star. The Spice Boys also reveal that after 24 hours the effects of the Black Water Mist will be permanent. This means that it is important to get the Sacred Water from Kami's lookout immediately so the effects of the mist can be reversed. Piccolo tells Gohan and Krillin to go get the sacred water while he stays to fight the warriors infected friends. As Gohan leaves Piccolo gets bitten by those infected by the mist and soon becomes infected himself. Soon Gohan and Krillin reach Kami's lookout which Garlic Jr. has taken over. They confront Garlic Jr., but the newly infected Piccolo is already there along with the Spice Boys. It seems that Piccolo is ready to attack his comrades. Also in this episode we get a glimpse of Vegeta on another planet who is looking for Goku.

Overall this episode was better than the others so far in the Garlic Jr. saga as the plot continues to advance and we get to see more fighting. I like how the episode ends with the set up for a fight with Piccolo against Krillin and Gohan.moreless
  • Did piccolo have to do that

    6.3
As Piccolo tries to hold off the Spice Boys and infected Z Fighters, Gohan and Krillin race to the Lookout to get release the Sacred Water in time. But Garlic Jr. is there, guarding the Sacred Water himself. Gohan and Krillin stand ready to take on Garlic Jr. and his forces to save the world.
  • Vegeta better find Goku soon, because Dragonball Z isn't the same without him.

    6.3
Piccolo battles the Spice Boys as they explain to him how Garlic Jr. was able to get out of the Deadzone after Gohan headbutted him into it. The infected humans start battling Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan. Piccolo was caught, and tells the other two to get away. Piccolo also become infected with the virus after getting bitten. Krillin and Gohan drop Maron off at Korin's, and head to Kami's. They find the Spice Boys, as well as Piccolo.

I guess it was all right. Well, better than that crap that was the last episode. This episode still sucks too though, just not as bad. Though the only difference is that this had more fighting. Fight scenes don't necessarily save an episode, because good drama is normally better, though this drama sucks, so only fights can save whatever is coming up until the next canon arc comes.moreless
  • Bad Piccolo

    6.5
Piccolo questions whether Garlic has really returned or not, and one of the Demons explains that Garlic was able to free himself from the imprisonment of the Dead Zone because the Demon home world, Makyo, approaches Earth every five thousand year, and this year is the five thousandth. He goes on to explain that the Makyo World increases their power several dozen times over. He says that Piccolo should have known about that since he used to be a demon himself. They also explain that if the Aquamist isn't reversed by the Ultra Holy Water in less than 24 hours, the effect will be permanent. They ask Piccolo to join them, but all he does is throw off his garb and prepare to fight. He lunges at one of the Demons, but he is too quick for Piccolo. Suddenly, Piccolo gets blasted in the back by Yamucha. Gohan tries to intervene, but Piccolo throws him aside. Piccolo has his hands full with Yamucha, and tells Gohan and Kuririn to go and retrieve the Ultra Holy Water and save the world. Piccolo lands on the ground and says that it's too bad he has to kill them all, and prepares to kill the Z Warriors. Suddenly, his feet are grabbed from underground and Yamucha bites him in the neck while he's distracted. The other Z Warrior bite him as well. Gohan turns to help him, but he commands that he leave at once. Gohan and Kuririn fly off, and Piccolo falls to the ground. The leader of the Demons says that if you are bitten by a victim of the Aquamist, it creates the same effect as if you had inhaled it.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Cut Scenes:

      - Right after Krillin fights Master Roshi, Marron urges him to do better.
      - After Krillin gets kicked into the house, Marron screams.
      - A few frames of Bulma looking really angry were cut and replaced with a longer pause of Marron's back. The cut was then added in after Marron does the splits.
      - The scene showing Frieza's dead fighters
      - The scene where Marron is rubbing Karin's chin and he blushes is cut down by a few seconds
      - Some scene splicing and cutting were done when Gohan and Krillin talk to Karin, showing a wide shot of everyone. In the Japanese version, it stays on this shot; but the Japanese version shows a close up of Krillin's face from earlier and then an upper shot of Karin, and then switches back without losing any time or gaining any time.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Spice: Ah yes, now I have your attention. Not long ago, the eternal equinox was on the first point of Libra. Heralding this auspicious moment for the dark side was the Makyo Star, who's proximity to the Earth provided an incredible source of power to all creatures of the night. This rare alignment of the planets and stars only occurs every 12,000 years. At now other time is man more susceptible to evil than this. It is a time when the powers of darkness are at their Zena, when the unseen lower forces dominate the Earth. Garlic Jr. used this influx of dark energy as a sort of springboard to shatter his prison and escape it forever.

    • Piccolo: Yeah right, how could someone stupid enough to get caught in their own trap take over a planet.

    • Spice:There's no one left to fight for, no-one wants your help, can't you understand that. Just look, look at your friends, do they look like they're waiting for a knight in shining armor to come and rescue them. Besides, you haven't really changed, so join us and live, or suffer like you've never suffered before.

    • Piccolo: The Yamcha I know would tear you apart.
