  • Friezas counterattack summary

It has been a year since the Garlic Jr. saga and the DBZ warriors are now up against a major problem now. The episode starts off with with Gohan studying asking himself where his father was and why he hasn't returned yet, for he has been gone for over a year now. Meanwhile, Master Roshi is looking at his collection while Krillin is training to help Goku with his further battles. As Gohan trips over his chair, Chi-Chi walks in with Gohan's new tutor named Mr.Shoe. As soon as Chi-Chi leaves, Mr.Shoe is already putting down Gohan and is calling Goku many names. When Mr.Shoe find two mistakes on Gohan's paper, Gohan exclaims,"Mistakes are to learn from" and is literally whipped by Mr.Shoes's whip! Eventually it is nightfall and Gohan is still studying, while Mr.Shoe is making comments about Goku to Gohan. When Gohan wakes up, he has awaken to Icorus(his dragon) but is lead to Goku, who has finally showed up after a year and a half. Chi-Chi wakes up to Gohan and Goku's laughter, she comes out to greet Goku, and exclaims that he won't get any food if he goes through a window sarcastically. When Gohan asks Goku what happened to Frieza, Goku transforms into the one and only Frieza and attempts to punch Gohan screaming out that Goku is a "loser". When Gohan finally wakes up, he is squeezing Mr.Shoes arm and gets out of his chair in an anger after Mr.Shoe calls Goku a fruit. Gohan gets upset and start to advance on Mr.Shoe to defend Goku's honor. Unfortunately, Chi-Chi walks in and Gohan stops. But after Gohan gets whipped in his head and starts bleeding, and says that Gohan is like his father (always a fighter) Chi-hi throws him out the window and starts chasing him all around the front lawn! Meanwhile at Bulma's house, Bulma, Puar, Oolong, Yamcha, Krillin, Mrs.Briefs are drinking tea, when Vegeta suddenly crashes into the area w/his spaceship. As he gets out he is forced into taking a shower by Bulma and has to change into some clothes that say Badman on the back of his PINK shirt and his lime pants. After finding out what he has to wear, everyone starts laughing at him, so he threats everyone to stop laughing or he'll blast everyone, so of course, the humor is gone due to Vegeta. All of a sudden Vegeta gasps as he feels a tremendous power nearby. Back over at Gohans House, Gohan breaks his pencil while writing after feeling the 2 great powers. When Gohan picks up the phone, Krillin know its Frieza and asks Gohan to suit up(saiyan armor received in Ginyu Force saga). Unfortunately, Goku isn't back yet, and with Frieza coming along with another, greater power, what will happen to earth? While Gohan flys toward the landing area of Frieza and his father's space ship, Tien,Chaotzu, King kai, and Piccolo feel the two great powers, but Yamcha can't feel them due to his unexpierience of fighing. As Frieza is approaching earth on King Colds spaceship(King Cold is his father) they see that Goku is almost home on radar. Frieza's plan is so maniacal, he plans to destroy and kill everyone on earth, so when Goku gets back, all he has ever loved will be in ruins. What will happen to earth, and will **** make it in time, stay tuned to the next review of Dragonball Z:Trunks Saga! In my opinon this was an o.k. episode. There were many mistakes though, for instance why couldn't Yamcha sense Frieza and King Cold's power level if he had the power to before? Why wasn't Krillin wearing his Saiyan Armor? But amongst them was the biggest problem, if even Vegeta could sense Frieza and his father approaching Earth, and the radar showed that Goku wasn't too far behind from them, then why didn't Goku use his teleportation technique to go and fight Frieza? Well, above all it was a pretty good way to start off a saga, yet there was too many mistakes, but I would have to give this episode a 8/10.moreless
  • Oh my god just give up u moronn

Chi Chi hires a tutor for Gohan, who literally cracks the whip. Meanwhile, Vegeta arrives at Capsule Corp, returning from space without having found Goku. But there is no time for that when every Z Fighter senses a powerful force and their greatest fear is realized: Frieza survived and is coming to Earth for revenge. And with Goku still somewhere in space, the Z Fighters are on their own and don't stand a chance.moreless
  • Tutors need to come more often in Dragonball Z.

In order to help him concentrate on his studies, Chi Chi hired a tutor. He wasn't exactly the nicest person, using a whip to tame the boy every time he made a slight error. Gohan fell asleep, and dreamt about his father coming back home. Though it soon turned into a nightmare as Goku turned into Frieza. After an argument with Chi Chi, the tutor was fired. Vegeta arrived back on Earth in hopes of finding Goku there, for he had failed in his search. Vegeta, Bulma, Krillin, and Yamcha, have a nice BBQ dinner together, but it is soon ruined when they sense a familiar power level approaching earth. It's Frieza! And coming along is his father, King Cold. What's to become of earth now?

An all right episode, but at least it's better than watching a pointless Garlic Jr. episode. Even though the title is Frieza's counterattack, he himself doesn't appear until like the last four minutes. Everything before it was filler, but it was filler that was watchable. The little character interaction scenes with Vegeta, Bulma, and the others, were actually pretty entertaining. It provided some character development in the process. The parts with the tutor were also pretty amusing to watch. It was the dream sequence that dragged it down. It took longer than it should have, and killed some of the effect. Still a pretty decent episode overall though, and it's pretty interesting to see how earth fares while Goku is away and Frieza bringing his dad along in his revenge.moreless
  • Gohan gets a teacher, Yamcha gets jealous, & Fieza approaches earth.

Back at Capsule Corp., Vegeta returns from his journey to try to find to Goku, but he had no luck in doing so. Bulma then tells he needs a bath and Vegeta reluctantly follows. The others were amazing how Bulma could control Vegeta so easily! While Vegeta is having a shower, Bulma says that Vegeta that is used to having everything his own way. Yamcha then pointed out that was sort of like Bulma. Then Vegeta yells from the shower room asked that the clothes left for him were for a man or a woman because they were pink! Vegeta felt quite weird when he exited the bathroom due to the what he calls weird clothes.

Back at the son’s house, Gohan is studying but then feels someone’s energy nearing the planet. It was Frieza’s! Krillin then called and they both knew what to do. Then the rest of the Z fighters could also feel Frieza’s approach! Gohan knew what to do as he suited in his armour and went off to the Freiza’s arrival point.

Just above the planet Earth, Frieza’s ship was closing in on the destination. Frieza’s father, the mighty King Cold, asked if Frieza wanted to destroy the planet from space but Frieza refused saying that he wanted to take out all of Goku’s friends one by one so he could take his revenge.moreless

    • Inconsistency: In this episode, Vegeta has several scars all over his body but in Hunt for a Dragon Ball, his skin didn't have any scars.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Vegeta: These garments you left. Are they for a man or a woman?! They're pink!
Bulma: Oh come on, it's the style here!
Vegeta: (to himself) Men in pink, how bizzare!

    • Yamcha: You never found him (Kakarot) in space?
Vegeta: Don't remind me, I'm angry enough to hurt somebody, and pounding you might just be the therapy I need.

    • Vegeta: (to Bulma) Servant woman! Bring me a drying cloth at once!!

    • Gohan: (to Mr Shu) Alright, put 'em up!

    • Vegeta: I know, I make it my business to know, unlike you.
Yamcha: What's that supposed to mean.
Bulma: Hey Vegeta, would you like more barbecue sauce with your spare ribs.
      Vegeta: Sure, why not.

    • Vegeta: I am a saiyan warrior not some garden variety of flower.
Bulma: Relax it's the here. Hahaha!

    • Bulma: (edited out for time) Here you are master! Your wish is my command!
Vegeta: (thinking to himself in the shower) The female species. Such an enigma.

    • King Cold: Son, let's end this now.... We can destroy the planet from here!
Frieza: Father, that would spoil my fun. I want to savour my revenge - every - little - bit!
