  • Ouch! poor Nail

    9.1
I feel sorry for nail he really had no chance! His arm broke off and he was just pounded. Mean while the wierdest thing happened a body swap. Goku is Ginyu and Ginyu is Goku with a wound in him. well it seems that goku's training was for nothing really!

    7.4
Ginyu goes crazy, firing random blasts at Goku after he powered up tremendously. Goku simply brushed them off, and continud to warn his enemies to leave the planet. Guru and Nail are in even more trouble than Ginyu, for Frieza has decided to enter the house of the eldest Namek. Nail takes Frieza to a far away place to do battle. The Namek warrior powered up to the point that even Freiza was surprised. However, Freiza was still much too strong, and was able to rip off Nail's arm easily. But thanks to his genes, he's able to grow it back. Aside from Ginyu and Nail, another person is currently battling for survival against dinosaurs, Bulma. She was about to get eaten, but Krillin and Gohan come just in time. After getting some heat from Bulma, they take the radar and head to the spaceship. Ginyu continues to laugh, and does his special technique; the body swap. Goku and Ginyu switched bodies, but to Goku's disadvantage, Ginyu purposely injured his body before the swap.

At first I was expecting the same result from the fight with Burter, Recoome, and Jeice; a blow out victory. I knew that there wasn't much material for Ginyu to possibly win, other than pulling a deus ex machina and giving him another absurd power up. However, I liked this concept, the body swap. Now, Ginyu currently is stronger than Goku, and Goku is also injured because of Ginyu. Sometimes I wonder why Ginyu doesn't do this to Freiza. Guess he's that loyal to him. I was disappointed that the fighting between Ginyu and Goku was minimal. In fact, other than some pointless energy blast throwing that Goku easily deflected, there was hardly any fighting between them at all! The Nail and Freiza fight was hardly entertaining, for we knew that there's no way Nail could defeat Freiza, unless he powers up tremendously like Goku.moreless
  • I liked this episode, but it was so...odd.

    7.5
Goku switching bodies with an ugly alien didn't quite appeal to me at first, and I was temped to turn the TV off when I saw it. But I knew Dragonball Z would always come through for me in the end, though, so I faithfully kept watching. I wasn't disappointed. Once I adjusted to the fact that Goku was in some creep's body, it was actually kind of funny. And the fact that a few episodes later, where Ginyu becomes a frog, makes it even better. I'm not the type to like body switcheroos like this, but it turned out well-worth the watch in the end. Weird? Absolutely. Good episode? Totally.moreless
  • Surprise!!Goku is Ginyu & Ginyu is Goku

Nail suggests that he and Frieza move to another location to keep Guru out of any possible crossfire. Nail leads Frieza quite a distance from Guru's and their battle begins. Frieza reads Nail in at 42,000 and reveals that his power is 530,000. Nail strikes Frieza dead-on in the neck, but Frieza grabs his arm and tears off the lower half of it. Nail listens on as Frieza compliments his strength and then mocks him. Nail screams, and gathers energy to regenerate his arm. Frieza is impressed, but still confident. Elsewhere, Ginyu breaks out into a huge laughing fit and begins to throw many energy blasts at Goku. He takes off his Scouter and hands it to Jeice and continues to laugh.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • After meeting up with Gohan and Krillin, Bulma complains that she ran out of lip gloss a month ago. Considering that Goku, who left for Namek shortly after Bulma and the others did (maybe a week after), only took six days to arrive on Namek, Bulma hasnt even been off Earth for a month yet.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Krillin: (after Bulma throws dirt on him) Come on, give me a break! It's not funny!

    • Freiza: (after ripping Nail's arm off) Oh my...that has got to hurt! Here, you might want to keep this! (throws Nail his arm) You might want to use it as a back scratcher or something.

    • Freiza: (to Nail) Oh my, it seems I may have underestimated your strength. No matter, you still pale in comparison to me. Not that your light show wasn't impressive, but you see, in relative terms I'm probably 500,000 times stronger than you are.
