  • I agree with the other two reviews, Dragonball Z has hit an all time low.

On King Kai's planet, the Ginyu force are causing havoc to the mini planet. Meanwhile, in Namek, Goku continues gathering up energy for his spirit bomb, but Frieza grows impatient, and beats him up while he charges. Though when looking at the water, he finally takes notice of the ball, and decides to finish the saiyan off once and for all. Piccolo though, using Gohan and Krillin's energy, buys Goku some time.

Seriously, I want the last fifteen minutes of my life back. The other five is all the good stuff out of this episode I compressed into a couple minutes. How the frick does Goku taking like so long to charge up a spirit bomb, when he himself said it'd only take a couple minutes?! The scenes on King Kai's planet isn't helping too, though Yamcha calling the Ginyu Force idiots was quite hilarious.moreless
  • Goku gathers up energy for the Spirit Bomb... I just summed the entire episode up in one sentence.

    1.8
I never thought an episode could be more boring than this one. So far, there has been nothing to change my mind. Last episode, Goku decided that the only way to defeat Frieza would be to use the Spirit Bomb. So, he quickly started gathering energy. That brings us to here. Unfortunately, the only thing that occurs is Goku continues gathering energy. He doesn't even finish forming the Spirit Bomb. This episode is so pointless there's even a few useless scenes of the dead Ginyu Force members hassling Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu. There's been a few weak episodes in DBZ, but this one takes the cake. Just skip this one and go straight to the next episode.moreless

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • When Bulma's talking to Cptn. Ginyu (in frog form) about how strong Goku is, she mentions that he won every competition he entered when he was a child. However, the first two World Martial Arts tournaments he enters, he comes in 2nd place, not 1st.

    • The Z-fighters on King Kai's planet should have been able to sense the Ginyu Force's presence as they got closer to the planet. However, it is made out to seem like the Ginyu Force arrived on the planet with the fighters having no idea of their presence until it was too late.

    • When Gohan and Krillin are contributing energy, they have their hands on Piccolo's. However, in certain scenes, one of the two has the same gloves as the other.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Frieza: (referring to Piccolo) I spy with my eyes, one pitiful Namek who got away!

    • Goku: (to himself) Okay, Frieza, turn and run for it. Come on, get moving before I use it. No, he's not taking the bait, he must know it's not strong enough yet!
Frieza: Oh I get it, that ball is your idea of a diversion, well I'd hate to ruin your little game but your trump card won't work on me.

    • Goku: Hah..could you lighten up a bit?
Freiza: You want me to lighten up!? (fires blast at Goku)

    • Goku: I call upon the trees and the ocean, the sun the moon and the stars, all living things, let me share your power.

    • Frieza: So that's what he's been up to all this time, collecting energy in to one giant ball, but where did he get so much power!?

    • Frieza: Huh, what's that, that's not the sun. Oh no what is that. It's some kind of enormous ball of energy, huh, he created it.

    • Frieza: One question my unworthy opponent, what do you think you're doing? Watering your garden, an interesting way of spending your last few minutes before I inialate you.
Goku: Drawing in enough power is taking too long, I just hope he holds off for a few more minutes.
