The shoe is definitely on the other foot now. However, despite giving Frieza a beating, Goku shows no signs of taking the final step to end his reign of terror for good. Said reluctance ends up being a mistake and leading to a major disaster. Frieza has saved his most powerful blast of all for last, but not for Goku. Instead, Namek is the target. If the planet is destroyed, it will take everyone but Frieza with it.moreless

    So Freeza is basicly no match for the super saiyan goku! well obviously! Well freeza decides to go the coward way and destroys the planet!

    Frieza is angry for his inability to even put a dent on Goku after his Super Saiyan transformation. King Kai gets excited because he has hope for Goku's victory, however, in a desperate attempt, Frieza decides to blow up the planet. All that hope vanished, but was quickly retrieved when Kami decides to call King Kai up. King Kai realizes that Kami is alive, which means Piccolo is alive, which means Namek is not destroyed! Frieza reveals the planet will blow up in five minutes time so that even if Goku wins, he won't have any air to breathe.

    There are two types of fillers that Dragonball Z uses to drag its episodes out. The one where they drag out individual scenes to make the much longer--that short little talk when King Kai first thought Namek blew up with Tien, Chiotzu, and Yamcha, is an example in this episode--and the other just non important scenes that don't matter at all--that scene in Frieza's headquarters when it blew up because of the overwhelming power levels of Goku and Frieza. Episodes are usually better when it uses more of the latter type of filler. I was completely fine with that useless Frieza's headquarters incident. For that, this episode was solid. It kept things moving if you disclude fillers, and the story is consistent.moreless

    • According to some of Frieza's men, Goku's Super Saiyan Power Level is a Little bit Higher than Friezas's.

    • As Gohan carries Piccolo to Goku's ship, he flies past the dead bodies of Guldo, Recoome, and Burter. But Vegeta killed both Guldo and Recoome, incinerating both their bodies with an energy blast. The only body that makes sense being there is Burter's. However, considering all the havoc being caused throughout the planet due to Goku and Frieza's fight, it would make sense for Burter's body to have suddenly disappeared as well. response: Vegeta had only destroyed Guldo's HEAD, but had left his body whole. So the only bodies that would make sense being there would be Burter's AND Guldo's.
