this is sort of the aftermath of the poorly made vegeta fight. It's a boring episode that was intended to make people feel sorry for the heroes. However, if you are a villain lover like I am, you'd disapprove of this episode almost immediately. Nothing particularly exciting happens, unless you count Goku, Krillin, and Gohan getting admitted to a hospital and Yajirobe trying to convince everyone he didn't beg for his life against Vegeta. It's a poor excuse of an episode, where again, half of it is filler. It has some jokingly peculiar additions, though this was never the main focus of DBZ so that can be neglected completely. It does serve as a waiting game for the upcoming awesomeness known as the namek saga however.moreless

As Vegeta leaves the Earth, Krillin picks up Gohan walks over to Goku\'s side. Suddenly, another ship appears, and at first they think it is Vegeta, but it turns out to be their friends when they see Master Roshi greeting them from out of the window. Immediately, Chi-Chi dashes out and snatches Gohan from Krillin\'s arms, totally ignoring her fallen husband. Meanwhile, Bulma, Master Roshi, and Korin go to Goku\'s side. Krillin tries to tell Bulma about Yamcha and Piccolo, but she tells them that she already knows and goes into an episode over why Yajirobe should have been killed and not Piccolo. They load Goku onto the ship and head over to the area where the battle with Nappa took place to gather Yamcha, Tien, and Piccolo\'s bodies.

Yeah... I actually almost cried, but only almost.

There are so many episodes of Dragon Ball Z that are just so serious and action-packed that it's almost on a sickening level. However, this episode showed a different side to the series that makes it believable.

The main characters retreive their fallen characters and are depressed over it. They are deeply sad and the voice actors can actually pull that off. In the beginning of the episode, Bulma starts crying after learning of Yamcha's death. I thought that she was faking it at first and I thought that Tiffany Vollmer was a terrible voice actress because of it. Then, I soon realized that it truly seemed sincere! Later, Bulma pilots the capsule plane and sheds silent tears and it adds so much depth to her character and the show.

After, once the gang figures out about the Dragon Balls on Namek, there is so much hope on screen that you can almost feel it outside... I was very pleased with this episode because it consisted of planning and what the characters' next steps will be... something you don't see in a lot of normal shows.moreless
