EDIT
18 and the damaged 16 aren't able to beat Cell, but they've found a way to hide from him on an island. There are numerous islands in the area and Cell is too impatient to perform a simple search. He will instead force his prey out into the open. Soon, blasts rain down from the sky –destroying various islands and killing many innocent bystanders. The only ones available to stop this carnage are Vegeta and Trunks, who have just arrived.moreless

  • Vegeta confronts Cell and begins to transform into an Ascended Super Saiyan. Goku explains to Gohan about the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

    7.0
Nothing much really happened this episode. Cell continues to destroy the islands one by one in an attempt to find Android 18. Cell is about to destroy the last island when Vegeta shows up. Vegeta challenges Cell and begins his transformation.

Meanwhile Goku and Gohan have just entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Goku explains to Gohan about his surroundings and that it's going to be a very tough year.

Vegeta is still transforming and the rocks start breaking apart and Cell is shocked by his opponent. Vegeta's muscles bulk up but it's not enough to lower his speed. His transformation completes and he begins to attack Cell.

Can Vegeta stop Cell before he absorbs Android 18 and becomes complete?moreless
  • hmmmmm...

this episode was good.but it should have been better cause vegeta was going soft on the androids.he could have accended to a next super saiyan level.and show no mercy to the androids.if i were him i would kill cell first before i kill the androids, cause that would give me more problems.
  • NOTHing happened

Anxious to find 18, the heartless Cell obliterates a chain of inhabited islands, with each explosion bringing him closer to the Android's hideout! But heading Cell's way is Vegeta! He's fresh from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and ready to test his new strength. Is Vegeta really stronger than a Super Saiyan, only time will tell.

Well after a row of action packed epiosde u could as well say this epiosde sucked and was needless

Cell takes forever destroying islnads BORRiINGmoreless
  • Lots of powering up on Vegeta's part... Oh, and Goku explains the hyperbolic time chamber to Gohan. Yep, that's about it....

    4.0
So, absolutely nothing happened in this episode. In fact, they could have cut it out entirely, and all we'd have missed would be some confusion on Gohan's part and Vegeta's muscles getting bigger. That's it.

If you're reading this review before you watch the episode, don't even bother watching it. It's a complete waste of time.

The only reason I even gave it a 4 is because we've never seen anyone transcend the powers of a super saiyan, and so Vegeta's transformation, at least, was something new. Hopefully, we'll get to see more of what happens in the time chamber and also, hopefully Trunks will get some Cell action. But this episode itself does nothing for anyone. They should've trashed it, and it'd have been no great loss for anyone....moreless
  • It's back...

    6.8
Cell has practically destroyed all the islands in the area, except for one. Just before he was about to blow it, Vegeta appears, and starts bragging about his newfound powers. He has powered up that has risen everyone's eyebrows, delivering a power punch to the gut to Cell. Gohan is still surprised at the effects of the Hyperbolic time chamber, but him and his father commence their training.

Nothing really did happen. Just a lot of islands being blown up, Cell getting frustrated, Vegeta bragging, and Gohan's confusion. Though Goku's explanation of the hyperbolic time chamber was interesting. The time chamber is a pretty unique room that makes you want to write fanfics about it.moreless
