  • Fairly average stuff, better than some of the ones before it.

Not terribly exciting or action packed but it's an okay episode. Trunks pushes himself to the max and his powers go through the roof. But he has compromised his speed and he can't lay a hit on Cell so his new found strenght is useless.

Meanwhile Goku and Gohan are training hard in the Hypobolic Time Chamber. Goku pushes his body as far as Trunks has but realises straight away that the cons far outway the pros of this new form. They train so that they can become Super Sayian instantly without draining there power.

Trunks gives up realising he is out matched. Cell decideds that he wan't to get all the fighters out of the way once and for all and really test his strenght. Thus the Cell Games are born.moreless

Trunks quickly realizes that his Super Saiyan powers are no match for the mighty Cell. Even though he is stronger he is not faster. Trunks accepts defeat, only to be given a second chance when Cell proposes a tournament! And goku and gohan have just learned something useful which will help them in the tournament!

  • Not another mediocre episode...

    "Mediocre"
Trunks bulks up his muscles even more, but realizes that his bulky muscles are what's slowing him down, disabling him of even connecting his punches with his foe. Goku has also achieved that level, but realized the same thing as Trunks that big muscles slow him down. Trunks surrenders, but Cell proposes a tournament of the world's best fighters to be compiled in order to challenge him.

Another mediocre episode for the third straight episode. I bet the past three episodes could have been combined to make one good, or even great episode. Filler is there to postpone the anime from catching up to the manga, but c'mon, can't you make them any better? This is just ridiculous?moreless

    • Trunks: Cell, wait! What is the real purpose of this tournament? I know what you androids are like! This is all some kind of trick, right? Just a trap to get us all in one place. Cell: Oh, must you treat everything like it's the end of the world. There is no secret purpose. I simply want to get as much out of this planet as I can before I destroy it! Edit
