Episode Summary

EDIT
Cell has arrived at the battlefield, and quickly powers up in-front of the Androids and Piccolo, immediately showing his immense strength. The Androids do not even know who Cell is, so Piccolo tells Android 17 that Cell was spawned from Dr.Gero's computer and is here to absorb him and Android 18 in order to reach his perfect form. 17 and 18 do not intend on joining Cell, but Cell does not care and attacks 17, threatening to absorb him, Piccolo steps in and aids 17 in his battle with Cell. Piccolo uses his strongest attack against Cell, and everybody is shocked when Cell is not even fazed. Cell, annoyed, quickly and easily kills Piccolo and throws his body into the ocean. Now that it is just Cell and the Androids, will he be able to absorb them to become complete, or is the strength of the mechanical trio enough to stop Cell from absorbing 17 and 18?moreless

  • Two enimies unite to beat cell

    9.1
It all starts when Android 17 starts to fight Cell. He asks Piccolo who is he after piccolo saves his life. He says that his name is cell and that he is here to come and destroy you. Piccolo and Android 17 join teams and starts to fight together. Meanwhile Tien goes to see how strong cell is to piccolo and to see what they are up against and Krillin meets up with Bulma so it will be much easier and faster to shut down the androids. Gohan gets mad and what’s to help Piccolo but Goku tell him to stay there they are no good like that and that and said to hurry up Vegeta and Trunks. The episode ends when Chi-Chi says to hurry up Goku.

Great episode a lot of tension fighting too. And two enimies have to unite to beat cell. great episode....moreless
  • Wow! Just amazing.

    9.6
Cell has arrived, though it seems 17 and 18 are ignorant of Cell's purpose and existence. Piccolo and 17 try to stop him, but it's not enough and were vastly overpowered. Even the silent 16 recommended the two young androids to runaway. Piccolo used up all of his energy on one attack, but it failed. Cell blew a hole in Piccolo's stomach, and sent him floating in the ocean.

No Dragonball Z episode, not even the awesome Bardock and Trunks hour TV Specials, had me more emotional than this. It was literally tearing up my heart with every move. Seeing Piccolo fade away like that was really heroic. The still scene of him getting the life punched out of him was nerve wracking, and even moreso was the scene with him getting blasted by Cell through the stomach. The music did a perfect job of complimenting this sequence extremely well. Just a brilliant episode; by far the best, if not, one of the best episodes in this anime so far.moreless
