With their new Namek friends at their sides, Krillin, Gohan and Bulma begin searching for the Namekian Dragon Balls. They very well too well, in fact. It turns out they aren't on Namek at all and their 'friends' are really nasty aliens. They plan to steal their ship and claim the Namekian Dragon Balls for themselves. Krillin and Gohan, however, intend to make them regret this deception. Meanwhile, the recovered Vegeta learns of a far more severe problem. Frieza is after the Namekian Dragon Balls, but Vegeta intends to beat him to the punch.moreless
  • It turns out that they were never on Namek and it was all an illusion..

    "Fair"
This is another pointless filler episode. Our heroes manage to gather all 7 dragonballs but it turns out that they were never on planet Namek and the two Nameks they saw were actually aliens in disguise who wanted to steal their spaceship because they were stranded in this planet for many years. Our heroes manage to get away and they head for the real planet Namek..

Vegeta decides that he will head to planet Namek to gather the Dragonballs before Freiza does so he can make his wish of immortality. Cui (one of Freiza's henchmen) tried to stop him but Vegeta left anyway. He took his scouter with him too. Our heroes finally arrive at the real planet Namek.

    Let the Dragonball hunting begin!moreless
  • Who knew Raditz was this important?

    "Good"
Krillin and Gohan are heating up a block of ice, trying to reach the Dragon Ball encased within it. Soon after, the entire cave starts breaking down, and they try to get out quickly. Then, a giant ice ball starts chasing them. They managed to escape. Goku escapes the hospital, and goes off in the middle of the desert in order to train his body. But he hasn't fully recovered yet, and quickly gets depleted. An angry Chi Chi chases after him. Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma, are happily skipping towards the location of the last Dragon Ball. But Krillin notices something suspicious. Then, Gohan is mysteriously being restrained, while the two Nameks capture Bulma. Then, the scenery starts changing. Everything was just an illusion.

What made this episode interesting was everything that wasn't related about the Fake Namek, specifically Vegeta's sequence after recovering from the healing chamber, and discussing with the other men around about Frieza. What really made it interesting is how Frieza is on Namek, and discovered the Dragon Balls through Raditz. It's just interesting how Raditz helped set up the following arcs, such as Vegeta and Nappa coming to Earth, and Frieza heading towards Namek itself. It's just really intriguing how important the Raditz fight really was. On the other hand, this filler arc was just really boring. Rather than trying, Toei just used this opportunity to waste time, because that's why this really felt like; a waste of time.moreless
