I am very happy to announce that after all this time Funimation is finally going to remaster the oringal series as well and the first Season is out on September 15th 2009. Righstuf, Walmart and the Dragonball wikia page at dragonball.wikia.com have details on this product and with the expception of Rightstuf also has a picture of the set. Anyhow as for a place like amazon it will be awhile since they are slower in posting stuff like this which is something I noticed from browsing anime-related stuf like this in the past.

New Update Amazon confirms that Season 2 will be released on November 10th and there is a picture for the set which will have Krillin on it.

Yeah says "Digitally Remastered" on the Box Art cover and is packaged the same way as the Z/GT sets and you can see it for yourself if you look on sites like Amazon, RightStuf or on the Dragon Ball wikia.
Anyway one advantage that these new Funimation releases have over the old ones is that Season 1 will include the entire Emperor Pilaf saga that previously could not be included because of KidMark.

Are the first thirteen episodes uncut? Because I remember that back then, some other company owns the rights to the first thirteen. KidMark or Lionsgate. Not sure.

Yeah as far as I know since the previous version was an edited version, but anyway Funimation now owns the rights to that saga.

there are five seasons of the remastered verison of dragon ball seasons one and two i think they have been all ready comeout season three i don't know
