Master Roshi agrees to train Goku and Krillin, but they must perform one simple task first bring him a beautiful woman. Using Nimbus to search, they experience a couple of mix-ups before finally finding the right woman. Her name is Launch, and they bail her out of what appears to be undeserved trouble. She is happy to work on the island, and Master Roshi is especially happy to have her around. The three guys later learn why she was in trouble before. A simple sneeze transforms her from a nice girl into an aggressive gun-toting one, and only another sneeze can change her back.moreless

"Look out for Launch!" see's Goku and the bald kid look for a date for master Roshi. They come across Launch (a foxy lady with a deadly split personality). They rescue her from the police and then take her back to Master Roshi. Again there is lots of adult humour in this episode that is very funny. We see that Goku is still very innocent by not being able to tell the difference from girls and boys ect. Anyway it's another good and entreating episode where Launch joins our heroes and the hermit. We don't see Bulma and the rest of them in this episode either which is a bit disappointing.moreless

    • Krillin: Slow down! You know if I lose my grip on you I'll fall through this cloud! Goku: Well if you would stop thinking bad thoughts, then it wouldn't be a problem! Krillin: Fat chance. Goku: Hey Krillin, look, do you think Master Roshi would like that lady over there? Krillin: You mean I have to look down? ... Goku, that's a man! Goku: Really? How can you tell? Gosh, they all look pretty much the same to me. Krillin: Huh? You're joking, right? I mean you really can't tell the difference? Goku: Well, usually I can figure it out. I just have to touch them first. Krillin: Hmm? In case you couldn't tell, I'm a boy! Goku: Oh...

    • Krillin: You mean you can't tell the difference between a girl and a boy? Goku: Usually I can if I get a good look at them. Krillin: Just for the record, I'm a guy.

    • Goku: Uh.. Master Roshi, get off the toilet. There's a girl downstairs! Roshi: Darn it, Goku! I said hold on! (toilet flushes) Roshi: Will you stop screaming all over the house?! It's plain embarrasing! Goku: You're stinky..!

  • NOTES (7)

    ADD NOTES
    • The title is the same as episode 7-2 in the game Dragon Ball: Origins.

    • Original Air Date: June 4th, 1986

    • Japanese Title: The Amazing Girl, Lunch

    • First appearance of Launch. In Japanese, her name is Lunch.

    • Actually both Goku, Krillin and Roshi were shot in the head by Launch. The marks on their heads from the gun shots were digitally removed.

    • Originally in the scene where Goku, Krillin and Roshi see Launch change for the first time and she pulls her gun on them after realizing what she's wearing, Krillin is apparently shot once or twice in the forehead. But luckily he's "Head-Strong". Pardon the pun.

    • After six years and only one picture of her during the Freeza saga, American viewers finally get to meet Lunch! (Devil's Castle was on video, so that doesn't entirely count in my book) As for the name change, why? Was Lunch too silly? Certainly not for a show with a demon named after a musical instrument. Maybe because Lunch "launches" things at people... Dear God I hope not.
