- Technically, Android no. 8 is a cyborg. The terms "android" and "cyborg" don't mean the same thing. An android is simply a robot with human appearance, while a cyborg is (or was once) human but has robotic parts. No. 8 was brought back to life as a "robot", therefore he should be called a cyborg, like in the Japanese title.
