        Lena (Bulma): "I don't know who this bozo is, but he's asking for trouble!"

        Lena (Bulma):"Ha, thanks to that rocket-powered peeping tom, we now know where he's got the Dragon Balls hidden!"

        Lena (Bulma):" And it looks like everything they've always said about the girls there is true, woo woo!"

        Lena (Bulma): "Great, I'm about to risk my life with a bunch of weirdoes and numbskulls."

        Lena (Bulma): "I've got myself an appointment with the Dragon God! Wooooohohoho! Well, come on Marilynn, let's you and me go get them, how about it?"
        Marilynn (Lunch): "You and me and what army?"

        Chaotzu: "Yes, it might work! But how will we ever find all 7 of them?"

        Chaotzu: "Shinto, don't call me 'your majesty', you know my name is Chaotzu, you promised me you'd always call me that!"

        Chaotzu: "We are still friends, aren't we?"
        Shinto (Tien): "Yes, of course we are....little Chaotzu."

        Zero (Goku): "Isn't the fun of fighting enough? Why give out a prize?"

        Zero (Goku): "Mind your manners, tough guy! I'm trying to eat dinner!"

        Zero (Goku): "Now I'm only gonna warn you once, you'd better leave us alone or I'm liable to knock your block off!"

        Zero (Goku):"Oh, it's got 4 stars on it! It's my Grandpa's ball!"

        Zero (Goku):"Not yet, they're not! KA--ME--HA--ME---HA!"

        Zero (Goku):"FLYING NIMBUS, COME TO ME!"

        Zero (Goku):"I'm ready, General Pei!"

        Zero (Goku):"Up and at 'em, you scaly old Dragon! I got a wish for you to grant! DRAGON GOD!"

        Whiskers (Karin): "Here, try munching on this, boy."
        Zero(Goku): "A lima bean?"
        Whiskers: "Well yes, but so much more! It'll help you get your strength back. What's wrong boy, don't you like lima beans?"
        Zero: "They're not my favorite."

        Whiskers (Karin): "I've been called many things. My favorite is 'Whiskers the Wonder Cat'!"

        Bongo (Krillin): "What a hillbilly."

        Bongo (Krillin): "Where'd you come from, the moon? Just let me at 'em, I'm gonna make you proud, Master Roshi!"

        Bongo (Krillin): "Wow, it seems like just about everybody in the world's here for this competition!"

        Bongo (Krillin): "Golly Zero, I know that ball was the last thing you had to remember your Grandpa by."

        Marilynn (Lunch): "If that lecherous old geezer does that again, I swear I'll strangle him with his own beard!"

        Marilynn (Lunch): "We heard the lasagna's to die for!"

        Marilynn (Lunch): "You're gonna need more fire power than that! "

        Marilynn (Lunch): "Meanwhile, those goons are searching your land for the Dragon Ball, and if they find it, all your people'll be bumped off, right?"

        Roshi: "Whoa!"
        Girl: "Why, how dare you!"
        Roshi: "I'm sorry, my hand must've slipped!"

        Roshi: "I know you, Tao Pei!"
        Tao Pei: "Well, well, it's been a long time, Roshi."
        Roshi: "A very long time, General Pei."

        Mao Mao (Oolong): "Some fun. Looking for Dragon Balls is boring!"

        Mao Mao (Oolong): "Hold on a minute, Lena, I only came along to keep an eye on you. I have a feeling you're just using us in this cockamamie search to get all the Dragon Balls for yourself!"

        Mao Mao (Oolong): "Lena....if you're planning on just waltzing right into the imperial palace, you can count me out. Gin."

        Lena (Bulma): "Come on, Mao Mao, this is your chance to meet all the beautiful princesses!"
        Mao Mao (Oolong): "Ah! Yeah, maybe so, but what good that's gonna do me if it means getting myself killed?!"

        Sparkles (Puar): "Is the imperial city safe? I mean I don't know anything about it, is the water ok to drink?"

        Dragon God (Shenlong): "Your wish is granted."

        General Tao Pei (Tao Pai Pai): "Someone should have taught the fellow when to hold his tongue."

        Tao Pei (Tao Pai Pai): "Where am I, what is this place?"
        Arale-chan: "It's Happy Valley!"
        Tao Pei: "Just my luck, I've landed in the suburbs."

        Shinto (Tien): "What is it, your majesty?!"

        Chaotzu: "We're very special friends, aren't we?"
        Shinto (Tien): "Yes, Chaotzu."

        Shinto (Tien):"No, no, I was never your friend!"

        Lord Wu Zu (Tsuru Sen'nin): Scattered over the planet are 7 magical orbs known as Dragon Balls."

        Zedaki (Yamcha): "Lena, Lena, we're sinking!"
        Lena (Bulma): "No problem, Zedie, I always drive a convertible."

        Zedaki (Yamcha):You mean they've spotted us?"

        Zedaki (Yamcha):You know, you can always count on me, Lena. I'm not afraid to go with ya."

        Zedaki (Yamcha):Huh? There's no special reason, it's just that all my life, I've wanted to win the Imperial Martial Arts Competition. So what's wrong with that?"

    • NOTES (7)

      • Original Airdate: July 9th, 1988

      • The story of Blue and Goku entering Penguin village is included, but this time it is Mercenary Tao and Goku that meet Arale, and Goku kills Mercenary Tao with Arale's help.

      • Note that since this movie was produced before the TV series dub, some of the voices (particularly that of Goku, who was voiced by Ceyli Delgadillo rather than Stephanie Nadolny) are different than in the episodes that have aired on Cartoon Network.

      • There is no mention of Chiaotzu's country's name Mifan. During the tournament, instead of the announcer explaining the rules, he now says some stuff about free hot dogs and nachos, and Chiaotzu and Tenshinhan's telepathic conversations are gone, so now there's just silence.

      • It seems that Harmony Gold owned the distribution rights rights to Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump for a number of years in the 1980's, and although no official source will say so, at least five episodes were dubbed by Harmony Gold as pilots for the series. The first and third movies were also dubbed and edited together to form a single, longer film which aired on serveral small stations around the country. The pilot episodes were apparently test-marketed on various independent networks. The response was so lackluster, however, that nothing more ever came of it, and Harmony Gold seems to have forgotten it ever happened.
        Most of the names were changed:
        * Bulma - Lena
        * Goku - Zero
        * Korin - Whiskers the Wonder Cat
        * Chiaotzu - Chiaotzu
        * Krillin - Bongo
        * Lunch/Launch - Marilynn
        * Master Roshi - Master Roshi
        * Oolong - Mao Mao
        * Puar - Squeeker
        * Shenlong (Eternal Dragon)- Dragon God
        * Tao Pai Pai - General Tao Pei
        * Tien (Tenshinhan)- Shinto
        * Tsuro Sennin - Lord Wu Zu
        * Yamcha - Zedaki
