Yes, Dragon Drive isn't among the most well-known group of shows. It was more popular in Japan than it was over here. I'm hoping the manga will eventually increase the activity.

This is the only show I've ever rated as 10/10 other than Pokemon.

I'm still hoping that they decide to make season 2 and continue like the manga did.

The series stopped in 2002, right? Then sadly, I'm pretty positive that we're not going to see any new episodes.

2003 actually, and the manga was only about halfway done at the time.

Yep, and it also begins the second season of Dragon Drive. I still wish they would animate it. Though it'd be a bit odd for the story, seeing how Reiji left Chibi behind in the manga and later returned for him, whereas in the anime he left him behind and received a new dragon.

They should animate it. But I see how that would create problems...

Personally, I liked Kouhei's death better in the manga than in the anime. The poor guy just thought everything was a game. I thought the battle with Shinryu was done better in the anime though, but I liked the premises the manga had. Having Saizo as Chibi's original owner was a nice twist, but I felt that the whole Dragon Cycle thing was rushed. I think it would've been better if there was at least one more chapter. Shinryu could've been killed at the end of 39, giving Ken-Ichi another 20 pages to explain things more clearly, and then made 40 the goodbye chapter.
