"Quetzal's Magic Pop-Up Book"
It's Storytime, but everybody has their own story that they want Quetzal to read. Quetzal can't read them all, so he introduces them to his magic pop-up book, an amazing book in which you imagine the story, and it comes to life. But there's a problem--they can't agree on a story to do.

"My Way or Snow Way"
When Emmy and Max arrive at Dragon Land, it's snowing. Emmy and Max suggest a game of hide and seek. When Max wanders upon a snowman, it turns out to be a live, talking snowman. His name is Chilly and he's from Stickleback Mountain. He lost Nippy, his pet snow puppy, and he needs to find him before he melts. Can Max and Emmy and our dragon friends help find him? Wheezie has a "whistle" of a good idea, but when it doesn't work the first (or second) time, everyone becomes irritated when Wheezie wants to try it again.moreless

    • TRIVIA (4)

      • Say, Wheezie has a do-re-mi bird whistle? She ought have tried using that back in "Zak's Song."

      • Cassie seems strangely unsupportive of Wheezie's position in "My Way or Snow Way," even exclaiming rather in a rather annoyed tone: "It doesn't work!" It's not like Cassie hasn't been in Wheezie's shoes herself.

      • One of the ways that Max, Emmy, and the dragons use to track Nippy is to follow his pawprints, but when he comes bounding up to Wheezie, he doesn't leave any pawprints.

      • Zak and Ord never get their turns in "Quetzal's Magic Pop-Up Book," suggesting a rushed ending.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • (Wheezie pulls out another whistle)
Zak: What's that whistle called, Wheezie?
Wheezie: 'The Do Re Me Bird!' (starts playing it)
Do Re Me Birds: (landing on Zak's neck and flying off) Do...re...me...fa...so...la...ti...do!
        Zak: Terrific.

      • Emmy: I imagine, once upon a time, there was a great, big castle, and two very brave knights. One named Lady Emmy, and the other named Sir Max. (The top of the helmet on Max's armor slides over his face.)
Max: Hey! Your story doesn't fit!

      • Ord: Are there going to be dragons?
Max: Of course, there's going to be dragons, Ord. You are a dragon.
Ord: (laughs) Oh yeah. I forgot.

      • Max: Oh, look. Dragon berries.
Ord: Dragon berries? Where? (pops out of bush and starts eating the dragon berries Max was holding) Hey! No fair! (pause) Can I still have the dragon berries?
        Max: Sure!

      • Ord: ...he'll chew it up into little delicious bites... (eats sandwich) ...until he's eaten every last crumb.
Max: I hope you have another sandwich, Ord.

      • Chilly: Perhaps I've been eating too many... frozen dinners!

      • Wheezie: Ooh, I just love whistles. They're so... (blows whistle)

      • Ord: I'll bet Zak and Wheezie are in that knuckerhole. They'll never be able to stay down there when they hear this: (plays 'Pop Goes the Weasel' on a trumpet)
Wheezie: (in knuckerhole) Ohhhhhhhh!!! (pops up of the knuckerhole) Pop goes the Wheezie! (laughs)
