Upon seeing the reality TV show Super Nanny, Captain Hero purposefully acts bad so he can summon Super Nanny and challenge her once and for all, because he thinks anything called super is a challenge to him. Meanwhile, Ling-Ling tries to get his driver's license. When he fails miserably, Wooldoor helps him become more "Americanized" so he can pass.moreless

    "Perfect"
Hey Soccadillo!! The F*** are you talking about?! This is the greatest episode of Drawn Together yet! It's not overly disgusting or violent, and the "asian's can't drive" stereotype is worked to perfection! Definetly the best stereotype they've done on the show yet (although i did love that one where Foxy couldn't stop eating the grape pencils, that was hilarious). And Captain Hero is just plain funny. How in the world can you not like this episode?! You're crazy Soccadillo.moreless
  • this work is miles beyond average TV fair

    8.4
    "Great"
The theme music that is played when Super Nanny is on the scene is obviously aping a song by Men At Work. Be Good Be Good Be Good Be Good Be Good "Be Good Johnny". It's a great tune and one of my favorites by that band;)

  • best reason to watch episode, Ling Ling

    8.1
    "Great"
If you like Ling Ling the best out of everyone else, this episode's for you. While the main plot is about Captain Hero, Ling Ling gets the secondary plot, which in my opinion is better. His storyline is filled with Asian jokes and stereotypes that you can't help but laugh at.
  • What happened this episode sucks compared to other episodes of drawntogether but it was still worth watching i think.

    7.5
    "Good"
This show was an okay episode but it was not as good as previous episodes. Ling-ling gets his eyes worked on and betrayes his heritage and gets yelled at by godzilla. Ling-ling is cool and all but they cant make to many episodes that focus mostly on him. It was cool to see just what is in the minds of asains and asains at heart. this episode gets an average rating and here is hoping that the next one if any is better than this one.moreless
  • While heavy on the Captain hero side of things, Ling-Ling is given a chance to learn an important lesson.

    10
    "Perfect"
"Clum Babies" was better than this episode, but don't let that scare you away! The Ling-Ling story line is well done and provides many genuinely funny moments to laugh out loud at.

The obvious stereotype this time around is that all asians are poor drivers. Whether you agree or disagree with this assumption, the writers hope you'll laugh either way. The fact that we get to see a helmet that is designed to let non-asians view the world as asians do is enough to make me rate this episode very favorably. That scene alone (where Ling-Ling is in bed recovering from the accident at the DMV) is what makes this show so humorous.

I found the Captain Hero story line boring and uninspired.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • Despite being confirmed by Abbey McBride, Ling-Ling's voice actress, that Ling-Ling's language is just gibberish that sounds Asian, the Asians at the NYAAP award show seem to have no trouble understanding him.

    • Captain Hero has been able to fly without flapping his arms in previous episodes. Heck, he was flying without flapping his arms at the beginning of this episode.

    • Ling-Ling's eyes take a different shape in this episode. In previous episodes, his eyes have been small, red and round, while in this one, they were small, red, oval-shaped. Probably to make the changes after his"wide-eye operation" look more dramatic. It's unclear if his eyes will remain this way from now on or whether they'll just go back to normal in the next episode.

  • QUOTES (14)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Super Nanny: Unacceptable! Naughty stool!

    • Captain Hero: Show yourself, Super Salad! Waiter: Sir, I was just asking you if you want soup or salad. I'm giving you a choice between... (Captain Hero snaps the waiter's neck, killing him)

    • Toot: Oh, Captain "Shero" here was trying to take my barette! Captain Hero: It's pronounced "Hero". The "S" is silent, you hit-head!

    • Spanky: Martin Luther King Junior had a dream, but unlike his, mine is about to come true.

    • Godzilla: (throws a cup at Ling-Ling) Ling-Ling: Oh, what the hell? Godzilla:(in his language)Ling-Ling, you are a Twinkie! Yellow on the outside but white on the inside! Ling-Ling: Oh, shut up, Godzilla! Godzilla: You are no role model! You're trying to make us white! What's next? You're gonna make us fat, lazy, and bad at math? Ling-Ling: Oh, you're so full of hot air, you breathe fire!

    • Foxxy: Get off that damn stool Hero, you need to go save the world. Captain Hero: I can't, I'm not allowed off the naughty stool. Xandir: Why don't you just take the (bleep)'n naughty stool with you?! Captain Hero: Oh don't be silly. I can't flap my hands and carry a stool at the same time. Xandir: That is a good point. Oh, shut up Xandir! Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

    • Captain Hero (in confession room) I had to figure out a way to defeat Super Nanny and her naughty stool. But how? But...how? (puts hand on chin in and stares at the screen in a very serious manner, holds pose for a while) You know if you just keep the camera rolling, its not as dramatic. (camera continues to roll, Hero's eyes dart back and forth while holding his pose for a long time) Aww, jerkoff assholes. (gives up and walks away)

    • Captain Hero: (to British toddlers who are ripping Super Nanny apart) You kids look like you have everything under control. Hyah! (flies through the roof causing rubble to fall and crush the toddlers) I'm off to fight the evil Supercuts! (shows ends and credits appear, then suddenly cuts back to Capt. Hero in confession room with a really bad haircut) You win this time supercuts.

    • Captain Hero: (in confesssion room)Everyone thinks I'm a liar. Now I'm a lot of things, I'm an astronaut, I'm a basketball player, I'm the president of the universe with a 14-inch (bleep), but I'm not a liar.

    • Ling-Ling: Honorable pig demon, we must return to the place of shame. Spanky: Oh, you mean the shower at the Y? Ling-Ling: (pause) Nooo...the Department of Motor Vehicles.

    • Ling-Ling (after learning a "wide-eye operation" has been performed on him and that he now speaks English) This is a lot to handle, but everything will be okay as long as Ling-Ling still has humongous penis. (turns around and looks down at his crotch) AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    • Ling-Ling: (to Godzilla) You so full of hot air, you breath fire. (later in confession room) Ling-Ling proud of that one.

    • Spanky:(Packing Ling-Ling into his pet carrier) Saddle up my Lo Main man, we goin' on a field trip!

    • Captain Hero: Just because someone puts "super" in front of their name, that doesn't make them super. On the other hand, if you put "le" in front of a word, it does make it classier. Like lesbians, the classiest women of them all.

  • NOTES (11)

    ADD NOTES
    • After Ling-Ling begins speaking Japanese again, he calls Godzilla by his American name "Godzilla" rather than his Japanese name "Gojira"

    • Apparently, Captain Hero's name is spelt "Captain Shero".

    • Wooldoor Sockbat adds the words "in bed" to Ling-Ling's fortune cookie test results. The joke is that if you add "in bed" to the end of any fortune cookie you read, it becomes a dirty joke. Example: "Great things are coming your way"............in bed!

    • Look Closely: Shows Foxxy flips through - The exercise program Capt Hero would watch later, Godzilla who would appear later, "Drawn Together", "Now Where They At?" (from 'Capt Hero's Marriage Pact'), and finally, "Super Nanny".

    • According to the closed captions Toot in the other room says "I'm watching TV! -- Oh, God damn it! Breaking news!" . This can only be heard audibly through the left channel of the stereo audio feed, even though Captain Hero responds to it saying "Breaking news?!?".

    • Ling-Ling's Driver's License statistics: Expires : 1/1/07 Name: LING-LING Class: C SEX: M HAIR: ORANGE EYES: RED HEIGHT: 1' 04'' WEIGHT: 1g DOB: 1/1/04 RESTRICTIONS: NONE

    • Ling-Ling refers to Spanky as 'Honorable Pig Demon', which is what the Vietnamese children referred to him as in "Gay Bash"

    • Captain Hero's "Jerkoff Assholes!" comment was censored in the closed captions with '[Bleep]'

    • LingLing's pet carrier resembles a Chinese food take-out box.

    • Opening credit sequence is shortenend.

    • When they had asian eyes, they crash and speak asain, so when Ling-Ling got new eyes(looked american) he can speak english and drives good.

  • ALLUSIONS (8)

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Godzilla series: When Ling-Ling is walking down the red carpet, Godzilla tells him he sold out their heritage. Godzilla is a monster from a monster movie saga.

    • Superheroes: Captain Hero calls several superheroes, such as the Hulk and Spiderman, as well as Batman and the Green Lantern.

    • Ling Ling's perception of the Housemates is an allusion to the way anime has evolved over the years.

    • Batman The giant coin Captain Hero has in his cave is very similar to the giant penny Batman has in the Bat-cave.

    • Super Glue Commercial When Captain Hero "battles" super-glue, he is shown hanging from a steel girder by a construction worker's helmet. This is identical to the original super glue commercial where they had a man glue a helmet to the underside of a girder and then hang from it to show how strong it is.

    • Star Trek The sound effect heard faintly as Captain Hero tries to talk to his machines is the same heard in the background of both the original 60s and cartoon versions of Star Trek.

    • Racial Joke "Twinkie - Yellow on the outside, white on the inside": Godzilla calling Ling-Ling a twinkie is a reference to Blacks being called Oreos when they are perceived as not being true to their heritage.

    • Grease 2 The "Who's That Guy" number done during Ling-Ling's second passing driving test refers to the Grease 2 number in which Michael shows off his motorcycle riding skills.
