  • We meet Clara's cousin.

    8.0
This episode breaks down into two Sub-plots. One funnier than the other. This episode is about finding out which relative will be staying over the Drawn Together home for a little bit. It turns out that it's Clara's cousin Bleh. We learn she's special, and Clara feels like she shouldn't hang with the rest of the gang, but with a little help from Foxxy, Clara changes her mind.

The first Sub-plot of the episode is about how Captain Hero and Spanky Ham have a bet for 50 dollars to see if Hero could sleep with Bleh. Him and Bleh go on a date and it turns out... Hero's in love with her. He finds her special (not in that way though). Later that night he does end up sleeping with Bleh and telling Spanky. The next day while Hero was conversing with Clara about her sister, Spanky gives Hero the 50 bucks he bet him for sleeping with Bleh, which he tells out loud that Clara hears and then forbids Hero to see Bleh ever again. After he spends his 50 on clothes and jewels, he asks Clara where Bleh is and it turns out she's actually leaving. He gives her a farwell kiss and she heads onto the bus. What's weird is that we see special versions of the other seven characters. The special Spanky gives 50 bucks to Bleh and like Hero, she spends it on clothing.

The other sub-plot was about Ling-Ling's dissapointment about his father not coming. Xandir and Toot feel bad for the guy as they both kiss Ling-Ling. Now because of this they turn weird and crazy for a while. The next time they do it, nothing happens. They ask Wooldoor why, and he says that they can only go crazy if Ling-Ling is dissapointed. Being weirdos that they are, they keep dissapointing Ling-Ling, and get crazy as hell. They basically take advantage of him throughout the episode until he runs out of the crazy juice (or in this case, the nasty green bubbles). While Toot and Xandir didn't have any at all, Wooldoor still has some left that made him go freaking ballistic. Later Ling-Ling's father actually arrives and although Ling-Ling is happy, his father is extremely DISSAPOINTED for him being in a reality show full of losers. Since her was dissapointed, the other three lick the hell out of him and get crazy. Pretty crazy that the last scene all three are in are naked.

Overall, this was still a pretty good episode. It was funny, interesting and worth watching. I found it surprising that the Ling-Ling sub-plot was funnier than the Bleh one, especially because she kept repeating "I Am Sam" movie review quotes which was pretty funny. The Bleh sub-plot was till good though, because it gave Captain Hero more character development. The Ling-Ling sub-plot was hilarious though, especially when Wooldoor was trying to get rid of the rest of his craziness in the room. That Bam-Bam looking hallucination Wooldoor had was pretty freaking funny.

I felt that though there wasn't enough Foxxy, but I guess it's okay. My favorite character was Captain Hero because I learned more about him today more than the last four episodes combined. My least was Spanky because he was an idiot for saying the bet out loud when he was in the room with Hero and Clara.

Overall, I thought it was going to be better, but it was still a good episode. I give it an 8.0.moreless
  • A very funny episode.

    9.7
This was the fiorst episode I watch of this series and I fell in love with it. This show is sooo funny. I love the humor and the .....humor. It is one of teh funniest shows I have ever watch. It is so smartly written and produced. I love the concept of all different kind of spoeies comeing to gether in a 'Big Brother' type house. It is an original show and one of a kind. I love Blah. It was kinda obvious taht she would be hot cause other wise there would have been no reason to bring her on the show in the first place.moreless
  • Best Drawn Together episode ever!

    10
The housemates are surprised with a visit from a family member, and Ling-Ling is disappointed that his father won't come to the Drawn Together house, and starts secreting a powerful hallucinogenic drug, which Xandir, Toot and Wooldoor become addicted to. Clara's mentally-challenged cousin, Bleh, arrives on a school bus, and she introduces her to the other housemates. The "lamp" scene with Clara, Foxxy and Bleh is sooo funny, and Captain Hero and Spanky try to throw eggs at Bleh at first, but when she takes off her clothes, they find her hot. I love when she shows her humongous boobs!moreless
  • Clara's Special cousin comes and visits the house.

    8.4
When Bleh Clara's cousin arrives to visit Clara Spanky bets captain Hero 50 bucks that he can't sleep with her. I can't belive they were allowed to air an episode like this. This episode so damn extreme. Nothing South Park has done so far is as Pushing the envolpe as this show is. Either way this episode is really funny and it revolves around my favriot charater Captain Hero. In the end Captain Hero ends up falling in the love with Bleh. He does end up sleeping with bleh and that when Clara Finds out about the Bet between Hero and Spanky. This episode is really funny! Its great.moreless
  • I never thought it was possible to have A show that was more offensive than South Park, but look what we have here.

    7.5
I never thought it was possible to have A show that was more offensive than South Park, but look what we have here. This episode has Captain Hero hitting on Clara's Retarded Cousin Bleh, and it really was terrible. In a good sort of way. The idea that she can only speak reviews of "I Am Sam", is just bizarre, but Ms. Silverman does A wonderful job. Altogether, another episode another daymoreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (8)

    • After Bleh has entered her bus, she receives fifty bucks from a retarded version of Spanky Ham; there she is wearing her usual brown coat. But when she holds up the bill, the collar of the white fur coat she buys in the next scene can suddenly be seen on her already.

    • When Clara's cousin takes her robe off, as Captain Hero and Spanky are going to egg her, look at her feet. One of them has six toes. The next time we see the foot, it has five toes.

    • When Wooldoor is using his eyes as a projector, he looks at Toot and Xandir, but the projected screen is still up.

    • When Clara and Bleh walk outside to the hot tub and ask if they could join, we see Bleh walk to the pool, but Clara disappears and isn't mentioned again in that scene.

    • Bleh is wearing slippers when she and Clara walk out to the hot tub, but is barefoot when she takes her bathrobe off.

    • Bleh can only speak using quotes from reviews of I Am Sam, but she uses other words when she gets back on the carriage at the end.

    • Ling-Ling says he has prayed for battle since he came to the house, but he actually already had a battle against the Asian kids in "Gay Bash."

    • When Captain Hero and Bleh are eating the saliva from Bleh, Captain Hero's logo is on left.

  • QUOTES (26)

    • Clara: I should've killed her when I had the chance.
(Flashes back to Foxxy hanging off a cliff over a river of lava, and Clara on the ledge looking at her)
      Foxxy: Give me your hand!
Clara: First give me the ring!

    • Foxxy: What's up, girlfriend. You know, none of us have really had a chance to hang out with Bleh yet.
Clara: Bleh? What's a Bleh? Is that one of your jive words like "emancipation"?

    • Bleh: I Am Sam's Dakota Fanning is worth the price of admission.

    • Captain Hero: Wow. Clara's cousin is so hot. (his nipples harden)
Spanky: Damn! She's, like, retarded hot! (his nipples harden, followed by four additional ones)

    • Wooldoor (to Ling-Ling): Don't hold out on me man. I need my fix. Come on! What do you want? I'll do anything! I'll suck your dick!

    • Clara (seeing Bleh come out of the bus): Oh, fuck me.

    • Captain Hero: I know I should have been more mad with Spanky, but I just won 50 bucks!

    • Captain Hero: Bleh, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Bleh: "Contrived, manipulative, and shamelessly sentimental" raves Peter Travers from Rolling Stone.

    • Captain Hero: We come from two different worlds. I come from the planet Zebulan and you came from a mom who drank when she was pregnant.

    • Toot: (to Wooldoor) You'll have to stay here until all that Ling-Ling is out of your system. It'll be the hardest thing you'll ever do. Tootles!

    • Xandir: (monotone) Hey, Ling-Ling, I have a penny. No, I don't. (licks dry fur)

    • Xandir: (to Ling-Ling) I'm so sorry your father didn't show. We still love you. Don't we, Toot?
      Toot: (annoyed) Fine.

    • Ling-Ling: Ling-Ling so want visit from father. He great warrior/dry cleaner. He coined classic phrase... "No ticky, no washy."

    • (Captain Hero notices there is a dart in his neck)
      Captain Hero: What the...
(cut to Clara holding a blowpipe)
Clara: Just a little added protection. (lowered voice) You get the antidote when I get my Bleh back.

    • (Captain Hero, Spanky, and Wooldoor are playing spin the bottle and when Captain Hero spins it lands on Wooldoor)
      Wooldoor: WEEEEEEEEEEE!
Captain Hero: If you're going to be gay about this, you can't play.
      Wooldoor: Sorry.

    • Spanky: Want to spin a bottle and kiss whoever it lands on?
      Captain Hero: Not right now.
      (pause)
      Spanky: How about now?
      Captain Hero: All right.

    • (Xandir and Toot kiss Ling-Ling again, nothing happens)
      Xandir: Why isn't this working?!
Toot: Maybe we have to eat Ling-Ling.
Xandir: Why is it that when something doesn't work your first reaction is to eat it?
(flashback to Toot eating the TV)
Xandir: Toot! What are you doing?!
Toot: I couldn't find the remote!

    • (poking Ling-Ling with a stick)
Xandir: Look at me! I've become the very thing I hate most!
Toot: A guy who pokes things with sticks?

    • (Xandir is holding Ling-Ling)
Xandir: Hey, Ling-Ling, are you excited about Christmas?
      (Ling-Ling perks up)
Xandir: Too bad there's no such thing as Santa Claus! I bet you're disappointed!
(Ling-Ling becomes disappointed, and Xandir licks the secretion off, passing him to Toot)
Toot: Hey, look what I found in your ear! Is it a quarter?
      (Ling-Ling perks up)
Toot: Oh, no! It's a TUMOR!
(Ling-Ling becomes disappointed, Toot licks him, and passes him to Wooldoor)
Wooldoor: Heya, Ling-Ling, you uh... excited for Christmas?
      (Ling-Ling perks up and nods)
Wooldoor: Oh, no, it's a TUMOR!
      (Wooldoor licks Ling-Ling)

    • Ling-Ling's Father: (in confession room; looks around, subtitled) What this room for?

    • Captain Hero, Spanky, Wooldoor: Triple kiss!

    • Captain Hero: Yes, I was confident that by the end of the night I'd have another notch on my utility belt and fifty bucks in my pocket, but then, I realized something. Bleh, she was really special, but not in a retarded way. In a traditionally special way.

    • Spanky: Well, nice work, Captain Hero. Here's the fifty dollars I bet you to have sex with Bleh.
      (Clara gasps)
Spanky: Oh, I mean here's the fifty... dollars Captain Hero won off me because I bet him he would not have sex with your special cousin, Bleh, but he did, in fact, have sex with her... for fifty dollars. Whew. Saved it.

    • Xandir: We knew what we did to Ling-Ling was wrong. Hopefully, this will make it up to that lovable, fortune cookie, cat-thing.

    • Ling-Ling's Father: Ling-Ling, you bring shame to Ling family. Father is so disappointed in you, Ling-Ling. So very, very disappointed.
(Xandir, Toot, and two Wooldoors tackle Ling-Ling's father and lick him)

    • Ling-Ling's Father: This is where you've been... on lame reality TV show? With other losers?

  • NOTES (19)

  • ALLUSIONS (19)

    • Trainspotting:
When Wooldoor is suffering withdrawal from Ling-Ling the baby crawling on the ceiling hallucination is a reference to the famous scene in Trainspotting (1996).

    • Spanky Ham: Don't look, but Corky at 3 o'clock.
Corky was a mentally challenged character from the ABC series Life Goes On.

    • Bamm-Bamm Rubble
Bamm-Bamm from The Flinstones is on the ceiling when Wooldoor is in the room alone craving more Ling-Ling.

    • That 70's Show
The scenes of Xandir, Toot and Wooldoor passing Ling Ling around the table as the camera pans to follow them is a take-off of the trademark "getting high" scenes of the Fox show That 70's Show.

    • The Facts of Life
The plot of this episode was loosely based around the plot of the The Facts of Life episode Cousin Geri.

    • She's All That
The scene where Bleh walks down the steps to meet Captain Hero for their date is very reminiscent of Rachel Leigh Cook meeting her date in She's All That. The movie also involves making a bet about an unpopular girl, such as the bet between Captain Hero and Spanky Ham.

    • Lady And The Tramp
When Captain Hero and Bleh are at the carnival, she drools on their food and Captain Hero eats it. They meet up in the middle and kiss, just like the famous spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp.

    • Fast Times at Ridgemont High
When Bleh is getting in the hot tub she slowly undoes her bathing suit top and gets on the diving board, this is exactly the same as a scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High when Judge Reinhold is fantasizing about Phoebe Cates getting in the pool.

    • Ling-Ling: Finally L. Ron Hubbard answers prayers with ultimate challenge.
Ling-Ling is a scientologist, as he prays to L. Ron Hubbard for battles. Lafayette Ronald Hubbard, better known as L. Ron Hubbard, was a prolific American author and founder of the controversial Church of Scientology.

    • Captain Hero: "Bleh, you are the wind beneath my wings."
"Wind Beneath My Wings" is a song by Bette Midler.

    • Promqueen Dumpsterbaby
This is a reference to Melissa Drexler, who gave birth to a baby during her senior prom and threw it away in a dumpster.

    • Bamm-Bamm Rubble
During the Trainspotting scene, the baby on the ceiling is Bamm-Bamm Rubble from The Flintstones.

    • Xandir: "I guess being cool just isn't worth it."
The pose and the music are a parody of the NBC public service announcements ("The More You Know"), as parodied by Conan O'Brien, Family Guy, etc.

    • The Lord of the Rings
Clara says that she once had the chance to kill Foxxy, but she didn't. Foxxy nearly fell off a precipice with a river of lava underneath, but Clara held out her hand and asked for "the ring" before she saved Foxxy's life. This is extremely reminiscient of the final scene of The Lord of the Rings, except no one died.

    • Trainspotting
While having his hallucinations in the room, Wooldoor sees a baby crawling on the roof and his head spins in a full 180. This a reference to the movie, Trainspotting.

    • Superman
Captain Hero's date with Bleh ends with them flying back to the house. This is a reference to the first Superman movie where Superman takes Lois flying with him.

    • The Other Cousin
The title is a spoof off the movie, The Other Sister, as well as some of the plot. That movie centers around a family in which one of the daughters is retarded, and trying to live a normal life with other daughters. Meanwhile, she falls in love with another retarded man. One could put up the argument that Captain Hero is mentally ill, but we'll never know.

    • The Simpsons
In the dilapidated shack where Xandir, Toot, and Wooldoor are licking Ling-Ling, Homer Simpson of The Simpsons can be seen the the background lying on a bedroll and scratching his butt.

    • I Am Sam
Bleh's "mental disorder" involes repeating multiple review quotes dealing with the 2001 movie, I Am Sam.
