Drift is a police drama from Touchstone Television and Brancato/Salke. It centers around New York Police Detective Ray Hakansovich. Ray suffers from a form of post-traumatic stress insomnia called a narcoleptic drift, which causes him the loss of his long-term memory. This drift helps give him an edge in solving homicides by giving him a photographic memory, but it also causes him to have vivid hallucinations of his deceased daughter who he sees at the crime scenes.
