Drift is a police drama from Touchstone Television and Brancato/Salke. It centers around New York Police Detective Ray Hakansovich. Ray suffers from a form of post-traumatic stress insomnia called a narcoleptic drift, which causes him the loss of his long-term memory. This drift helps give him an edge in solving homicides by giving him a photographic memory, but it also causes him to have vivid hallucinations of his deceased daughter who he sees at the crime scenes. Ray wanders through New York at night mourning for his daughter and trying to figure out how to get his wife back.moreless
