Ok I just heard a rumor and I really hope it is not true... I heard that Drive is getting cancled and not even finishing the season. If this is true then people probley know this so sorry. But I guess they couldn't cut it. I loved this show and this episode. It always surprises me in the face of tv to watch the Mother with her child some how in danger. This show was made to at least go two short or one full season. Speaking of LOST. They have stayed way to long on that island. Well I hope Drive stays Driven.
  • The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia.....and it's lights out for the series.

the thrid and finale epiosde of the series I continue to follow Melanie Lynskey's character as she wants to go to Ohio to get her baby. Big miskate, you are in a race and babies do not belong in races. and there's a bank robbery among the few racers and one was wounded. As I was preparing the review, Fox pull the series due to low rating. A big miskate. Can't you give that show a chance? With Fox, you just can't take a chance at anything. No matter I'm sick of having shows pulled from the air. I haven't even got over ABC pulling of "The Nine."
  • The black woman who was a walking sterio type who comes off like a crazy finatic hearign voices not a ritouse person and then come to find out she was just crazy or her GOD has a twisted sence of humor.

Since she didnt get a heads up on that her more attractive partner was the chosen one to win, but I guess we'll never find out now since the show had been canceled. Maybe next time Fox will produce an action show w/ a REAL diverse cast KINDA like Lost/Heroes and not walking err. driving sterio types who just got out of prison driving dekt out lowriders and homes every other word. Also the army guy who was on the run from the U.S. military for being AWOL thinks to his stuck up, selfish, gold digging girlfriend was a hypocrit b/c he stated that the black soldier (The only black guy they showed on this program) who was killed wasnt his friend but he knew him but in a later scene he said that those men he left over seas fighting were like his brothers and he would risk his life not for the country necessarily but for them, so thats a pretty seriouse bond he had there to not concider those men his friends but associates, but maybe he just meant the dead soldier or he simply doesnt know the meaning of the words Bro's in Arms! Any how the lord punished the writers, prod. staff, and actors w/ a dead show that had promise if the execution was done better on a more patient network, you think Nathon Fillion would of learned from Fire fly good show means bad ratings at first and therefore cancelation HA HA!
  • It seems that this week nearly all the drivers have a problem of their own.

Alex along with Corinna win some sort of get a head of the rest prize for being first in the last section of the race, problem was there was a catch and it meant robbing a bank to get the info they needed to get to the next check point and shave miles off there race, so teaming up with Winston & Sean they rob the bank and get what they need, problems arise when Sean is shot by one of the bad race organisers, Wendy receives a call that her son is in danger so she decides to leave the race but her new team mate Ivy pulls a gun on her and demands she stay in the race, Ivy’s ex partners Leigh and Susan though disqualified from the race for not reporting at the last check point on time decide to stay on track and follow one of the racers but come to a untimely accident that resort’s to them being knocked off the road and Susan being killed, Rob the Marine finds out that he’s officially A.W.O.L and it’s all his wife’s fault, he face’s court marshal and has to report to his Marine H.Q thus possibly leaving the race. The only two that we didn’t focus on this week was John and daughter Violet however next week we may find out more about these two. Another nice action packed episode that was a little lacking from the previous episodes.

this was the beast so far from drive wich im sure will keep getting better and better we found out where surender america was Alex tully cam in first so he had a bonus which really turned out to be a bad thing in which he had to rob a bank so they needed the help of sean and his brother and we also found out the baby sam is in some type of danger so if you are a fan of drive and havent seen this one go to fox.com because it one you just cant and i mean can't skip!
  • Wow...hands down great episode with a nailbiting ending

This episode started out kind of slow, however, it picked up really fast. We start the episode finding out that Alex has won a get ahead pass. We see Winston back to his ways of trying to be a bad ass and dragging Sean with him. They follow Alex and Corinna to try to get ahead of the other racers, but Alex fools him and eventually lose them. Then we see that Wendy received a call saying her child may be in danger, which provokes her to turn her van around and Ivy pulling a gun on her. I smell a trap for Wendy, which is really sad because she seems very innocent and only wanting the best for her child. Too bad Ivy is depending on her since she doesn't know how to drive. We see Susan and Leigh truck on through the race even though they were cheated out of it and they needed a new car. They find a phone Rob, who apparently is out of the race I guess, and which Susan believes is a sign from God. However, she forgot to tell Leigh that God told her Leigh would win the race, not Susan. It's just too bad that they were run off the road by that hugh truck, which I think is from the officials of the race; and its too bad that since Susan finally got to have more of a part in the series in this episode, they had to kill her off. At least we can be rooting for Leigh because she's going where "Lee surrendered", but not this Leigh like she said. We come back to Alex and Corrina as they figure out the only way to get ahead is to rob a bank, but they need a little help so they recruit Winston and Sean, which were vital assets, but things take a turn for the worst as Sean is shot and he shoots the cop trying to catch them. The ending of the episode showed how Alex's old self is coming back only in the effort to save his wife and it showed his leadership as he took Sean to apparently an unlicensed surgeon. The previews for the next episode look great and I am really looking forward to this series as it develops into a greater series.
  • Good episode...

I think last week's episode was better than this one but this was still a good episode. I'm starting to think that something is going on with Alex because first they give him his old car and now they give him the jump start. It just doesn't make sense to me why it all keeps happening to Alex. That was a pretty good car crash that those two got into, their name escapes me at the moment. I didn't like how they didn't even show the man and his daughter hardly at all in this episode. next week's episode will be really good because I think we will find out more about Alex's past. later...
  • Probaly the worst of all the episdodes so far, but still good.

    "Great"
I thought this was the worst episode since its premiere which wasn’t many but it was very slow. Susan's whole thing with hearing God's voice started to get annoying quick. I am kind of glad she got hurt. I guess Leigh is going to try and recruit the person that picked her up.

The best storyline of the episode was Alex's. The bank scene was good especially the fight with the security officer. I don't think that is a real security officer. I think he was sent by the people running the race to see how mentally tough Alex and the rest were. That pair of four is a crew to be wrecking with. I really like Winston and I hope he wins the money.

I don't like how they didn't show the Dad or daughter at all. Maybe once I am not sure. I am starting to like this military guy and his wife. I hope they get back in the race somehow.

Wendy and ivy's storyline is very weird. One time they are nice to each other and one time they are pointing guns at each other. I guess that is the type of character Ivy is. I really do not like her.
  • Time for a Fast Forward. God Speed Speeding fast. Robbing banks a massive car accident and betrayals.

We learn Ivy can't drive and is now using the mother. Great develoment here I find a little revelaing. I enjoy mean characters who just do mean actions but usually there people I love to hate. but Ivy I just hate her there needs to be a change so that i can stand her. Susan and Leah I think thats her name. Catch up and are asked to leave the race are else. Susan tells Leah that God told her too win the race unfortunatley in a very animated version a car accident sends Susan and Leah in a massive car accident this really makes me wonder who are the people behind this orginization. Susan was not a developt character so its not like I would miss her but the way she died was brutal. The other team. I like the idea of Alex speaking to his wife as he waits. Corrina and the brothers steal a case in a bank I thought this was a little to much and over eggagerated but I liked how it played out. The couple are betraying eachother I honestly dont really like either of them but theres great character development.
  • Great character development!

A great show and it is glad to see that there was little less road thing and a little more character development in the show. And that maybe if they can balance between those two things, then it will be a hit. As Tully needs the two brothers to rob a bank in order to stay in the race. He doesn't want to do that as you can tell but needs to do so in order to save his wife.
  • Good episode overall; a bit of a change of pace from the first few episodes with fewer driving sequences.

I'm really enjoying this show, except for a couple of the characters. I'm actually quite annoyed by Wendy and her constantly talking about her baby. The two women from Katrina got kind of annoying too, because they didn't know when to give up after they'd been eliminated. We'll see what happens next to the girl who survived the crash.

In this episode there was more screen time devoted to fewer characters, which I liked. I'm sure we'll see more of these "challenges" to the racers and I think that's a good thing, because it emphasizes how twisted and evil the organizers are, and hopefully they'll start to shed some light on their "end game".

Another cliffhanger, we'll see next week if Sean survives to see another day, and hopefully find out what is in the box from the vault! There wasn't much driving this week, so hopefully there will be more of that too...the race sequences are really well done, though I wasn't terribly impressed with the effects on the car crash involving the Katrina women.
  • it was borderline jumping the shark, I hope they focus more on the race and have normal tasks as obsticles. (contains spoilers)

I didn't care for the whole bank robery part I thought that ruined the episode and some of the stuff with the baby wasn't all that good either. I was dissapointed because even though I'm not totally sure of this show it has potential if they make it all fit in. That lady just left her friend on the road and nobody saw it or called the cops in all that time? I know it's just a show I just wish they would do less of that and more of racing and different types of obsticles is fine, like he has to get his wife back and has different things he has to do, the one lady is worried about her baby, the side stories are fine, just don't have them killing people that was stupid in my opinion, and might hurt the show.
  • I enjoyed this episode even more then the previous ones!

Things I like about this episode of Drive, and Drive as a whole:

*I like how when things get intense, the look of the show becomes unrealistic. The same way the credits look. It did that when Susan and Leigh's car was being smashed, and again when Sean shot the security guard. It hightens the intensity, let's the viewer know something's about to happen, and at the same time, help with the show's surrealism. Love that look.

*I like the willingness to connect us to a character and kill them. Granted, this has become commonplace lately. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ER, 24, Heroes etc. Lost dances all over that threat constantly. But it doesn't get old. Who will it be? How will it happen? When? Obviously, Michael Hyatt, who played Susan, wasn't in the credits, so it wasn't a surprise. But it was still a great set up and sequence. *It builds. We are concerned every week that Wendy's abusive husband might find her, that Kathryn Tully's kidnappers might do something stupid, that John Trimble's illness might take a turn for the worse. But every episode, such as tonight's, the event's just build with the right people in the right order. Rob has to face a court martial and might be executed. Then Susan, who we just started to become attached to, is murdered. Finally, Sean, who we care about a great deal, MIGHT die. This is a perfect balance and a perfect build.

More lists to come in the future.
  • No Turning Back. The race continues with some suprising turns for several characters. Everyone begins to realize the stakes for this race may already be too high.

Alex and Corina get a chance to boost their lead, make strange allies in the Salazar brothers, and wind up taking an risky detour to secure their lead. Though disqualified, Susan and Leigh are determined to stay in it, and after a shocking loss the two suffer, it gives Leigh the determination to carry on herself. Wendy's son is being watched and Ivy, by gunpoint refuses to let her leave race without a fight. Rob finds out about his wife hiding his deployment papers, and seems intent on quitting. The question remains now that once the race has begun will "They" allow anyone to quit without a price?
  • Oh my god. This episode was amazing.

After I watched this I was at a complete loss of words. It just completely blew me away. Alex gets a chance to get ahead and takes it but they have to rob a bank they team up with the two brothers. In the end result one of the brothers get shot, Alex leaves the other two at a hotel while he takes the brother to who knows where. While this is happening, the two girls Ivy betrayed make an exteremely good luck streak but then a car runs them over and crashes them and Susan gets killed. That part was just freaking scary and exciting. I was completely having the oh my god feeling after that happened and the commericals played. Meanwhile the couple is having issues. The man is exposed to have to get executed because he is A-wall. He throws there cell phone out(Susan and the other girl finds it). I am completely amazed by this show and this episode. I cannot explain how shocked I was. One of the best episodes ever.

I was happy to see Susan die, her continued talks about how God talks to her was getting quite annoying throughout the duration of the episode. I thought Susan and the other girls parts of the episode were very boring. The Salazars teaming up with Alex made up for the action packed part of the episode, with the bank robbery scene being one of the better scenes of the show so far. I didnt like that the father/daughter combo wasnt shown at all in this episode except for in the beginning. I thought was too much time was given to Susan and not enough to that team in general. The army guy (im terrible with names) seems to have quit the race in general, which I dont think can happen to the sake of the show. I think that team, along with Alex and the Salazars make up this show and will be there in the end. The end of the episode left us with a lot of mystery, with Alex driving away with one of the Salazars and a lot of people still deciding if they even want to compete in this cross country road race.
