    • Susan: Even the garden of Eden had a snake. This is an allusion to the Biblical garden of Eden, the place where God placed Adam and Eve, the first people created to live. The garden of Eden was a paradise where Adam and Eve had perfect communion with God. However, Satan, in the form of a snake, tempted the couple to disobey God. They did, committing the first sin, and were banished from the garden. This is recounted in the second and third chapters of the book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible.
