Goof: The opening sequence shows the racers heading North on US1, leaving Key West. US1 never has two lanes heading in each direction. It is usually just one lane in each direction with a speed limit of 45. There are also many stoplights.

Goof: The highway on which the first leg of the race is shot clearly has mountains visible in the background in many shots. Anyone even vaguely familiar with the state of Florida would know that Florida is an exceedingly "low" state, with a highest point of 345 feet above sea level and a mean elevation of 98 feet. In other words, there are no mountains of any kind whatsoever.
