Drop The Celebrity

Show Summary

Drop The Celebrity was a reality show based in Britain that aired during the summer of 2003. Twelve celebrities waited in an airplane until a vote was cast by the viewing public that would decide the fate of one of the celebrities. The audience voted for which of the celebrities they wanted to see dropped from the plane. The celebrity receiving the most votes would then be required to strap on a parachute and then leap from the airplane. The winning celebrity who remained in the plance would receive £10,000 for charity and a further £5,000 if they jumped as well. The series hit the headlines when one of the contestants, Cheryl Baker fractured her ankle while taking part. The series was presented by Mark Durden-Smith and Jenni Falconer and the ITV2 spin-off 'Chuting Stars was presented by Matt Brown.
