Cadet: (about the Klunkin soldier) Ha ... his name is Leslie.
X-2: (referring to DD) Even as a golfball, he's annoying!
Klunkian Leader: Is he wearing fake eyelashes? DD: Probably ... the little sicko.
Opening screen for "K-9 Kaddy": Warner Bros Animation Presents a Marvin the Martian Cartoon. "Made in Sherman Oaks, CA, Planet Earth, Sol System."
"Pig of Action" is "Chapter: 26.07"; "K-9 Kaddy" did not have the usual Duck Dodgers episode opening and thus had no chapter number.
The alien gophers in "K-9 Kaddy" are alien versions of the Goofy Gophers.
"K-9 Kaddy" is a parody of an old Mickey Mouse cartoon.
Yosemite Sam guest stars as the leader of the warrior race, the Klunkians in "Pig of Action."
Pork: I am Pork Piggler, pig of action.
When Cadet pockets the moodnesium, he enlarges into a huge and powerful version of himself. Then announces he is 'Pork Piggler, pig of action'. This could be a reference to 'Dirk Diggler' from Boogie Nights. In the move, Mark Walhberg played Diggler, an especially well endowed 1970's porn star.
n/a: The Klunkians
Few would miss the fact that the Klunkians are parodies of Klingons, as they appear in Star Trek: The Next Generation and subsequent series'. (Curiously, however, the weapons that Cadet and Sam fight each other with more resemble ones used by Vulcans).
Pork: Precious .. Precious rock.
While in the spaceship, a mesmerized Cadet calls the glowing moodnesium rock his 'precious'. This is a clear reference to JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. In the trilogy, the character Gollum refers to the One Ring as his 'precious' and ogles it in a similar manner.
n/a: Mickey Mouse "K-9 Kaddy" is clearly a reference to the Mickey Mouse short "Canine Caddy". X-2 is even wearing Mickey's shorts and gloves!
