In this episode, it is established that Protectorate space ships can pass through the Earth's defense shield while it is up. However, in "Trial of Duck Dodgers," the Cadet needed to lower the shield in order for Dodgers' ship to pass it. (Reply: Perhaps the Protectorate modified Earth's defense sheild in an attempt to prevent another stupid mistake as what happened in the said episode.)

When DD goes searching in the Protectorate's freezer locker, he briefly pans over the frozen body of Walt Disney, while the tune of "When You Wish Upon a Star" plays in the background. There is an urban legend which claims that Walt Disney arranged to have his body frozen and stored in a deep freeze chamber so that he could be revived one day.

In "K-9 Quarry," Dodgers says that 'the Martian gets one episode per season'. At this point, this was true, as there had been an episode focusing on X2 and K9 in season 1. However, there wasn't in season 3.
