Season 1 Episode 13

Joking the Chicken

Aired Saturday 10:00 PM Jun 11, 1994 on USA

  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • King Chicken: Relax; you've got the best seat in the house!
Duckman: Well I appreciate the compliment, but I don't swing that way.

    • Iggy Catalpa: So this medical caregiver of indeterminate gender--because nurses can be male or female--says to his or her disabled--or should I say, differently-abled--patient, 'Why do you have a penguin on your head? They're endangered!' Haaaa!

  • Notes

    • Music by Frank Zappa included in this episode:

      Theme from Lumpy Gravy

This is the last episode to feature Frank Zappa's music.

    • Iggy probably represents Woody Allen (He has the basic look of Allen, but Allen is not exactly a "clean" comedian), and the Senator's suggestion of using white-out of the constitution of the United States Of America is probably a refferance to the P.M.R.C. court hearings, in which Frank Zappa was a witness to (Zappa's music also appears during this episode, and much of the first season's episodes. The Pilot, "I, Duckman" was dedicated to FZ.)

  • Allusions

    • The comedian Roulette is a caricature of Andrew "Dice" Clay, in both appearance and humor.

    • Choking the Chicken:

The title of this episode is a parody of the euphemism choking the chicken (i.e. masturbating).
