I have ever heard.......One of the series' greatest features is the great music composed by Ron Jones. It is varied and there are a lot of short very memorable compositions. I wish there was a CD with extended versions of these songs because there is some beautiful music on this show! It seems like some of the music is a tribute to the Indiana Jones series. I find myself humming the tunes and smiling when I hear them on the show. Anybody else love the music on the show???

    Yup. Me!
I have heard that similarity with the Indiana Jones-music too! But DuckTales is kinda like IJ many ways... Like the way Scrooge always has to save his hat! ^-^

They re-use a lot of the same music over and over, but I never grow tired of hearing it. I don't think I could ever forget that weird music that plays as the temple is sinking at the end of "Too Much of a Gold Thing". If I hear that music in another episode I can see that scene in the back of my mind.

I too loved the music in Ducktales.  Having some of the most memorable tunes from any show I watched growing up, it always seemed to set just the right tone for any given scene.

That album is not a musical score, but rather, remixes of Disney afternoon theme song plus some other songs made for the shows, like the Beagle Boogie Blues, and some Gummi Berry juice song.

Yes, no one loves the underscore to Ducktales more then me!! Im a huge fan of it. I have been corresponding with the composer Ron Jones, who did the music for the series. and I have demo's from music cues from the series. There are many cues that I would love to have. I have asked Ron about a ducktales CD, but sadly Disney owns the rights to it, he does not. So they would have to agree to release it.

by the way, the firest three episodes' music were performed by two other individuals. They were replaced for some reason and Disney hired Ron Jones This story is according to what Ron told me. He also expressed to me unhappiness about how they used some of his music, in the wrong context, like the music for the leprechaun, which he said was culturally inaccurate.

The music was one of the reasons this show was so good! It's too bad Disney nowadays doesn't put effort in creating good music for their new shows. Anyway, I think their new shows suck anyhow. They just aren't willing to deliver the quality they used to present to us with shows like 'Duck Tales'.

Whole lot of versions of Ducktales tv show on youtube:

"Anyway, I think their new shows suck anyhow. They just aren't willing to deliver the quality they used to present to us with shows like 'Duck Tales'."

Amen to THAT, Mister Matthews. Don't get me started on "The Emperor's New School" or "The Replacements", which I am ignoring in the hopes they will go away, far away and stay there.

At the end of the "Back to the Future" episode of Ducktales (where Magica zapped Mr. McD some 40 years hence), Mr. McDuck gives a lecture to his nephews about how it's bad business to try and sell something of poor quality.

Perhaps Disney should pay more attention to their own cartoons.

Disney's new cartoons definately suck compared to Duck Tales. It really is amazing how much crappier the quality of cartoons have become. I would of thought that with time cartoons would increase in quality but they've only become worse. Its a real shame.

I would pay good money for a complete soundtrack album of the DuckTales background music. TAKE NOTE, DISNEY!
