Thanks a lot for posting the larger pics of the back of the cases. I enjoyed reading them! It feels good to see the words Treasure of the Golden Suns on these cases and in uncut form on the DVD! At least that's my understanding. How is the picture and sound quality next to the first volume??? Thanks a lot! I'm really looking forward to Luke's review of Volume Two on www.ultimatedisney.com!!!

I believe that the picture and sound quality is a lot better than the first volume.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that Disney is very neglectful of their cartoon series. DuckTales would have sold really well in stores if they would have just advertised on TV. Disney isn't one of the smartest companies in the world. They place so much emphasis on pixar movies that they forget the classic cartoons that made Disney what it is today. Well actually what it is today is a disapppointment because somewhere along the way people were in charge who didn't know what they were doing!!!

I don't like how they numbered the episodes.  Wouldn't it not make more sense to just say Pilot next to each part of "Golden Suns" and then 28-30.  Then they should have numbered the episodes from Disc 2 and 3 as 31-to the last.  Use some common sense Disney!  At least the episodes are in air-date order if I want to watch the pilot then watch all of Volume One then watch the rest of Volume Two!!!

Just noticed from the pics they used a shot from the Treasure of the Lost Lamp movie!

Are Disney thick or what? Seems like they just slapped the first images they could find on the covers. Idiots.

I'll put them up by later on today on the Rescue rangers page and on here also. It's taking so long because my computer crashed and wouldn't boot back up but it is fixed now.

Mine arrived yesterday from Amazon (It was quite fast for international shipping to Australia)- It's a shame Treasure Of The Golden Suns is all butchered up but I can live with it. I'm going to get stuck into them this weekend!

I've also got both CNDRR volumes (This Batch and Last Year's Batch), DWD & TALESPIN (from earlier this year) and GB (This Batch). The only other ones I really want to get are Goof Troop and Quack Pack (I got the barebones editions but I would rather season sets) - Gargoyles and the Movie Spin-offs didn't really appeal to me that much.

Nobody notices the flickering on the episodes. Even slightly? it's hard to get an answer out of anybody whetehr they';re busy or just don't have that problem...

I managed to get both DuckTales and Rescue Rangers today. I had trouble finding them in the DVD section at Wal-Mart, as they weren't where I'd thought they would be with the Darkwing Duck DVDs. I almost gave up, when the Gummi Bears DVD (which I might get for my friend, as he's more fond of that show than I), just popped out at me. I quickly grabbed DuckTales (THE LAST COPY!) and Rescue Rangers, and I was content.

I quite like what they've done with this set. Though I've yet to watch any episodes, the discs themselves are glossy, and I like how the background music plays in the menus. I hope this set sells well enough to ensure a third volume.

The greatness of the actual episodes has been wonderfully preserved. I don't think they did any restoration but I will have to admit that it does look and sound slightly better than volume 1.

But the cover art is TERRIBLE... If you look closely, you will see that the characters have been drawn very badly. And to top it off, they put scenes from the wrong episodes on the backs of the individual cases. There is even one shot from the "Treasure of the Lost Lamp" movie, and a shot from one of the photographs they showed during breaks.

Oh, and another thing. Put in disk 2, go to the episode list, part two and crank your volume. You will hear dialogue from the show very quietly. Obviously they just took the music from one channel of the stereo mix and didn't even check to see if there was any bleed. Well, Disney, there WAS bleed, and it sounds awful and slightly creepy until you figure out where those voices are coming from.

Watching the show again (and not the cut Toon Disney versions) is wonderful, but pulling out the cases and navigating the menu is almost painful.

Yeah - after the long wait this time last year with Vol. 1 of DT and CNDRR, I chose Priority for when DWD/TS came out and liked it so much that I got Priority again for this batch (GB, DT Vol2, CNDRR Vol2).

I wanted to choose priority, but would of had to pay import tax on it, and it would of been too dear! So unfortunatly I'll have to wait a couple of weeks
