Disney is making NEW short cartoons to show before Disney movies! Yay!

Would it hurt to ASK for one starring the the Ducktales gang? Including Launchpad, natch.

Hey, Disney! How's about dusting off those old cartoons the younger set has never seen and digitally remaster them and put them on a dvd (s)?

As much as I love your idea, Disney would probably just give us Mickey Mouseworks-esque shorts, or come up with entirely new concepts. The Disney Afternoon was just a blur to them. I think they PURPOSELY try to avoid it for some reason.

I think so, too! And I think that is foolish of them.

they could consider such a cartoon to be a 'trial balloon" to see if bringing back Ducktales would be a good idea.

What's they worse thing that could happen? They'd have to admit to being stubborn and wrong? whoopie!

It's really just a lack of interest on Disney's part. Disney CEOs and majority shareholders only care about certain franchises of the company.

If by that you mean they want US to BUY what THEY want to SELL, rather than to SELL what WE want to BUY, I couldn't agree more.

Yes. They basically tell us what we want, and pretend that DuckTales doesn't exist. I can't explain why, but any franchise that was created for specifically for television (except Gargoyles, which is peanuts to them), "expires" in their minds.

I wonder how the people who work for disney like it when other giant companies treat THEM (as individuals)that way?

Maybe it's just as well. They'd just make Launchpad out to be a moron AGAIN.

Sometimes I wish I could buy the rights to Launchpad McQuack from Disney and make my own tv series starring him and me, married to each other, and working for a rescue heroes/Baywatch type orgainization...

Not that I have the money nor the talent and knowledge to DO that....
