I know the Scrooge stories by Barks and Rosa (like the 50's) were in different periods of time, but I was wondering... what time period do you think Ducktales is set in?
I think personally it's set in the 80's but also has some old technology from the 40s and 50s (like Scrooge's car that Duckworth drives him around). It has helicopters and computers in that period.
I understand Ducktales and the Barks and Rosas stories have different periods and they are different universes. But if Scrooge was born in 1867, he wouldn't have much to say or would be long dead in 1987. I figure he was born around 1900-1920. I watched Once Upon a Dime and I remember when he came to Duckburg, there were cars from the police wagon that looked like something in the 20's. Or else maybe parts of the country were still in certain phases. I kind of wondered how they did the Klondike Rush which took place in the 1890s.
Or else Ducktales has its own universe... what do you posters think?
