What's your favourite quote from due south? Mine's:

    Fraser Sr.: Hello, son.
Fraser: [warily] Hello Dad, how are you?
Fraser Sr.: I'm dead, son. Other than that do you mean?
Fraser: No, that's what I was asking.
Fraser Sr.: Well, that's good. Never be ashamed to ask a stupid question, son.

    and...

Dawn Charest: Has anyone ever told you, you have phenomenal bone structure?
    Fraser: Yes, a starving Inuit.

    oo oo and...

Harding Welsh: I have to ask you this, don't you have a job of your own?
Fraser: Oh, yes sir, but I had the early shift this morning.
Harding Welsh: And you have nothing better to do with your life than hang around here and help us solve crimes?
    Fraser: No, sir.

    oh yeah and...

Fraser: There is nothing more frustrating than playing hide and seek with a deaf wolf.

Ok maybe I would put the whole scripts in here if I could but those are my faves from the eps I've seen so far... up to Victoria's secret. So what's your fave quotes?

Fraser: In Canada, we have more than a passing familiarity with confusion. We're comprised of 10 provinces and 3 territories communicating across 6 time zones in 2 official languages. The English don't understand the French, the French don't understand the English, and the Inuit quite frankly couldn't give a damn about either of them. Added to the equation is the Assembly of First Nations with a total of 633 seperate Indian bands, speaking 180 sub-dialects among their 50 linguistic groups; and as if that weren't enough there are some fishermen on the East coast with a remarkably whimsical accent.

Ray Vecchio: Yeah, I can see what draws you to a place like this: the decorative graffiti motif, the clever use of plumbing to create the waterfall effect, and there's the ease and convenience of being able to dump your garbage straight into the hall.

Ray Vecchio: Some people pass away in their sleep, others die while making love to a beautiful woman. I’m going to die wrapped in meat.

Louis GardinoDramatically.) You know what we have here, Jack? It's another case of speeding with a dirty license plate.
Jack Huey: Damn, this city is going to hell.

Ray Vecchio: Kid, I'm having a good day, it's Christmas Eve and I'm filled with love for my fellow man, but I swear to God if you don't look again I'm gonna smack you upside the head

Ray Vecchio: Women give you signs to let you know they’re the right woman for you.
Louis Gardino: She hit you with her car. You call that a sign?

Ray Vecchio: You say something innocent and next they try and convince you that you have dreams of seeing your mother naked.
Benton Fraser: You have dreams of your mother naked?

Ray Vecchio: I think I got their windshield.
Benton Fraser: Every little bit helps, Ray.
Ian MacDonald: Yeah, we'll be dead, but they'll have really poor visibility.

Benton Fraser: My father said something that's always stuck with me, Ray.
Ray Vecchio: Your father never shut up, did he?
Benton Fraser: He said that a man with no future will often run to his past.
Ray Vecchio: When did that come up, Fraser? Were you just sitting around at breakfast and he suddenly came out with it? Or did he like run in and wake you up at night when he thought of these things.

Ray Vecchio: Enough! Okay? Enough! Alright? You took the Riv, you drove it all over the countryside, you gave it to a convicted felon, you ran it into a ditch, and you forced me to blow it up. (Pauses.) I've done enough.

Katherine Burns: I can’t believe I’m spending the eve of my wedding riding in a garbage truck with a total stranger I just tried to seduce in order to escape being shot by my fiance. I mean, it doesn’t get much worse than that does it?

Ray Vecchio: What did you see? A warehouse? Factory?
    Garret: God!
    Ray Vecchio: Oh great.

These are some from the first season and there is alot more.

LOL. Ye I love all of those quotes too. Such a fantastic show. There are just so many brilliant lines.

    -----

Fraser: I should be with her.
    Welsh: What did he say?
Ray: He said get me to a hospital

Ray shows that he is a good friend to Benny - as Fraser Sr. put it...

A friend is someone who won't stop until he finds you and brings you home.

[Even if that's not where you think you want to be]

I love Due South. I can't wait for season 2 to start.

It was on years ago and I used to watch it then but I was too little to understand most of it. Now a different channel is showing it and I'm hooked.

Yeah it is very easy to get hooked to it, unless its the first half of the third season, which isn't very good.

I watched the third season after your last post and to tell you the truth I didn't think it was that bad. I liked the dynamic that the show had. In fact, now that I'm back to watching season 1, I find that I miss the quirkyness that CKR's character brought to the show.

In the first half of the 3rd season I liked "Burning Down the House", "Eclipse, and "Seeing Is Believing"

A couple quotes come to mind, from "All the Queen's Horses":

Station master: "Oh sure, they gave me a computer but it's a useless piece of junk. Nothing on it but fish, little fish swimmin' around."
Vecchio: (hits a key) "Yeah, they call that a screen saver."
Station master: "You some kind of expert?"

    ***

Frobisher: All right, priorities. One, defuse the train, two, stop the bomb.
Fraser: Or we could defuse the bomb and then stop the train.

The thrid season was ok but Burining down the house and the last 2 were very good. I just found it a little out of place compared to the first two seasons and then when you watch the fourth season(or last half of 3, however they put it), which all the episodes are really good, season 3 is just the worst of the 4.

I just watched a really funny bit in season 1. It's at the beginning of The Deal.

Fraser has been conned into being in the church choir by Ray. He is surrounded by 'admirors' and Francesca is talking at him so he sings louder. Then suddenly it goes quite and Fracesca asks Fraser to have sex with her. Everyone gasps and Fraser freezes. Someone spots someone stealing from the poor box and yells thief. Fraser just mutters "Oh damn." in a tone of voice that says 'Thank God!' and jumps off the church balcony to chase the thief.

Oh and from the same eppy, Francesca's confession.

Frannie:Father, forgive me for what I am about to do.
Priest: This isn't about the moutie again is it?
    Frannie: Yes
Priest Francesca I can't keep forgiving you in advance for something that never happens
Frannie: Yeah but I'm really going to do it this time!

It was suppose to be left up to the audience's imagination. But someone (a fan, I think) asked someone who worked on the show, and they confirmed that it "didn't happen".

It took me awhile to warm up to Stan, but here's my favorite quote of his:

Police Academy Instructor: What do you do after you place the suspect in custody?

Stan: Kick him in the head!

Damn! I just got done quoting that bit on another thread! lol

From Mountie on the Bounty, after Fraser has told the crew that one of them is a murderer (forgive my paraphrasing):

Crewman: Why should we believe you?

Captain: Look at him, he's a Mountie.

    Crewmen: (general agreement)
