Goof: When explaining the set-up for the Moldavian wedding massacre, Gordon Thomson confuses the 1987 season-ending cliffhanger with the 1985 season-ending cliffhanger (Moldavian wedding massacre) by explaining that Bo Hopkins (Matthew Blaisdel) had returned to the show to disrupt the wedding. The Moldavian wedding massacre occurred at the end of the 1984-1985 season, while Bo Hopkins did not return to the show until the end of the 1986-1987 season, which featured the wedding of Adam and Dana.
The reunion features the first on-screen appearances of Pamela Sue Martin (Fallon) and Catherine Oxenberg (Amanda) together, as well as Al Corley (Steven) and Gordon Thomson (Adam) together. In the series, Fallon and Amanda were only seen on-screen together once during a 7th season episode. However, they were both played by the second actresses to play each role (Emma Samms and Karen Cellini) and not Martin and Oxenberg.
Additionally, the character of Adam (played by Gordon Thomson) did not appear until after Al Corley left the show. When Steven was reintroduced on the series, he was played by Jack Coleman who played opposite on-screen brother Thomson for 6 seasons. In the 1991 mini-series, Corley did reprise the role of Steven, however, Adam was now played by Robin Sachs.
The reunion was filmed at the Filoli Estate in Woodside, California, near San Francisco, where the pilot was filmed. Exteriors of the Filoli estate were used in the opening credits and through-out the series.
In this episode, Blake and Krystle renew their wedding vows. This episode aired exactly 8 years to the date of the pilot episode of Dynasty, in which Blake and Krystle wed the first time.
In the morgue, the second time they show a close up of the "corpse" his eyelids move quite noticably.
When Krystal is diagnosed with this "mystery" illness that turns out to be brain damage, Blake gets solemn and thinks back to her being thrown from and dragged by the horse many years before (the episode that caused her miscarriage). This is claimed to be when the doctor told them she might suffer head trauma, but this never happened. It was actually when Blake & Krystal were run off the road in their car by the man who's wife had been killed in the La Mirage fire that this later doctor made the prognosis.
Prior to this episode, it was never mentioned before in the series that Joseph had any children other than Kirby or that Kirby had any siblings.
Continuity error: In this episode, Krystina celebrates her 3rd birthday, although she was born in episode 98: "Krystina," which originally aired on December 5, 1984. Thus, Krystina would be only two years old and her birthday would be in December, not in February.
This is the only episode of the series in which the Carrington sisters Fallon and Amanda appear on-screen together. However, both characters are played by the second actresses (Emma Samms and Karen Cellini) to play those respective roles and not their original portrayers. However, in the reunion special, Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar, their original portrayers, Pamela Sue Martin (Fallon) and Catherine Oxenberg (Amanda) appeared together on-screen.
In this episode, Blake's lawyer is played Russell Johnson, best known as the Professor on Gilligan's Ilsand and Krystle's doctor is played by David White, best known as Larry Tate on Bewtiched.
Steven sees Adam for the first time after Claudia's death, but never mentions it. He talks about supporting their father but does not offer sympathy to Adam for the loss of his wife or even share in his grief as he was married to Claudia too.
Goof: Although Alexis has bought Blake's house, she can not legally just throw him and Krystle out. By law, she would have to serve them with an eviction notice. Plus, all of the possessions in the house would not belong to Alexis, nor would the servants be expected to remain in her employed, although it appears in this episode that they go with the house.
If Fallon had spent millions of dollars renovating La Mirage only a few years before, wouldn't a sprinkler system have been a standard code requirement?!
FILM FLUB: In the scene where Sammy Jo gives Krystle a horse out of guilt, she says it is to make up for what "Joel and Linda did to you" clearly mixing up actress Linda Evans' real name with her character name of "Rita"
When Constance Colby is dancing with Blake she mentions his long-lost brother Ben, who doesn't appear until later in the season.
It is revealed in this episode that Alexis and Sable are cousins, which would make Fallon and her new love interest Miles cousins, as well as Fallon and her ex-husband Jeff, since Jeff's mother is Sable's sister.
The character of Miles Colby was originally to be called Max. However, the producers changed the character's name in order to avoid confusion with actor Maxwell Caulfield, who played Miles.
This is the only episode of the series not to feature the Carrington Mansion. In fact the city of Denver, Colorado is not featured at all in this episode, which takes place in Moldavia, New York and Los Angeles.
Goof: In the fifth season finale, Prince Michael had originally been shot in the chest, but in this season premiere episode, he had apparently only been shot in the arm.
During the scene where Adam and Alexis are eating, at one point there is nothing on her fork but Joan Collins (Alexis) acts as if there is and pretends to chew.
