"Full House" creator Jeff Franklin reveals that he always had Bob Saget as his top choice for the role of Danny Tanner. However, when it appeared that Saget wouldn't be able to do it, Franklin hired John Posey for the role, and the series pilot was shot. Before it aired, though, Saget's schedule opened up, and Franklin--who felt very strongly that Saget was perfect for the part--decided not to pass up the opportunity. He fired Posey on the spot. (Posey said in an interview that his car was packed and he was literally on his way to California when he got the call). All of a sudden, Saget was in and Posey was out--and the pilot was re-filmed to reflect the change.
