      • Chuck: (narrating) Some people say things always work out for the best. Others say, that's the way it was meant to be. Life is full of twists and turns, and you don't always know where it's taking you, but it sure can be an interesting journey. Especially for someone who gets tomorrow's newspaper today.

      • (Gary was handed a note by juror number four, which he passes back to her, but is caught.)
Judge Jake Wellborn: Juror number four, would you be good enough to hand the note that was just given to you to the bailiff.
Bailiff: (Bailiff takes the note, and Gary is about to speak.) Don't!
        Judge Jake Wellborn: Bailiff.
        Bailiff: Yes, sir?
Judge Jake Wellborn: Would you read the note for the benefit of the court.
Bailiff: "I am very attracted to you." (court laughs)

      • Chuck: (opening monologue) Nothing's easy these days, no matter what language you speak. Murphy's Law; what can go wrong, will. Face it, even when you get tomorrow's newspaper today, you're still not outta the woods, not by a long shot. Like it or not, you still gotta deal with life. Not to mention the phone company.
