  • Not exactly the best Pilot ever, but not all that bad either. We go along for the ride with a small group who plan to create a new home on a new planet, in hopes of saving lives.

The episode starts of with a large amount of back story. We learn how in the future the Earth will no longer be able to support human life for much longer, people now live in space stations, and that very life on the station is causing children to become sick and die.

Devon Adair hopes to prevent their deaths and the death of her only son, Uly. She has a colony ship prepared to take 200 families to New Pacifica, on a distant planet. Plans are changed when they discover a news transmission that stated that the Eden Project blew up less than an hour after they departed the station, a departure time 8 hours away. They are forced to make a run for it or they will all be killed. During this time we get to see many of the characters and get a feeling of who they are, and what their role will be in this project.

After they awake from their 22-year long cold sleep they find they have made it to G889, and prepare to go down to their destination, when all hell breaks loose. One of the cargo pods gets stuck and results in the need for the ship to be abandoned. We get to see how much of a low-life Morgan is when he launches an escape pod with only himself and his wife inside, leaving the others to die, and John pounding on the door asking them not to go.

Once the smoke settles the members in the first escape pod exit and find themselves on a new planet, that appears to be as Earth was over 200 years ago. That night True befriends a strange small creature, who will soon show it's dangerous side. Now they must gather what they can, and find the nearest supply pod, in hopes of finding some vehicles. But once they find it, they discover they are not alone, as it has been opened.
