  • It should be available on more channels. I hate having to depend on Cable to watch it. If it was on regular TV, I wouldn't keep missing long stretches of it because they keep dropping it from their listing. How about putting it on local channels.moreless

I love Eastenders, I have been watching it since I was pregnant with my first son whom is now going on 17. I couldn\'t sleep at night and was flipping though channels when I first found it, and have been hooked ever since. I couldn\'t watch it for awhile because it wasn\'t available in our viewing area with Comcast so I started reading episodes on the internet to keep up. When I found out I could get it with Direct TV, I went with Direct TV, and to my horror as of January 1st 2006 they no longer carry the channel Eastenders is on. So the show that I have been known to stay up until all hours of the night to watch is again no longer available to me. I am so upset, my husband says it is like witnessing someone going through withdrawls. I Have checked numerous websites to find the series on DVD, but have not found anything except the Mitchells and the Slaters. Definatly number one fan here deeply disappointed I can\'t watch it again, and will have to go back to reading it on the web.

  • Scanning through the TV show ebrties, i was completely shocked that the US was making their own copy of a British favourite.

I've never seen this programme, as i know nobody else has yet, but it seems a really strange idea to copy a soap drama in this way. Wouldn't it be a better idea just to air the show as it is in the states?

I know that PBS does that alot with British comedies, as does BBC America.

As it's on Fox, i wonder if Rupert Murdoch enjoys sitting down, drinking his favourite Australian beer and laughing at the cockney accents.

I hope ths show does well, but i'll have to give it a neutral opinion of 5 for now.moreless
  • What will it be like?

What will be in the american version of one of Britain's best known saops?

Funny if it had the original theme tune, and even funnier if it had a sort of remix that could sound stupid.

Maybe some of the characters would be parodies of some characters in Eastenders UK. Imagine "RICKY!" in an american tone!

This show sounds good, but it might rise ratings for a little while. We'll just have to found out...

Overall Score: 6/10 (The sound of it, not a review of me seeing the actual thing.)moreless
