Show Summary

Meet Eckhart, a tiny little mouse with a great big heart. Eckhart has enough curiosity for ten mice twice his size, and this thirst for knowledge drives him across the globe, searching out the mysteries and challenges of life. Spun off from "The True Meaning of Crumbfest," an award-winning and much-loved Christmas special, Eckhart draws on many of the Celtic sounds and flavours of creator David Weale's Prince Edward Island home. The world just can't seem to get enough of this adorable rodent and his magical mouse adventures.

  • Following the tales of young Eckhart and his friends Sweeney and Bridget, Eckhart goes on several adventures to discover what's out there.

Following the tale of a mouse and his friends who work hard to carry their homestead along. Eckhart witnesses his family working hard within the barn to make life peaceful and pleasant for all. His father disappeared when he was younger after having gone on an adventure and so he lives with his mother, grandfather and little sister. Together, they create the homestead.

His friends Sweeney and Bridget are unfortunate children who live a poor life in the barn with no parents to look after them. Sweeney also lost his leg but thinks little of it as he continues to be optimistic and move on.

Often, Eckhart gets curious about tales he hears from his family or external sources. He will travel almost anywhere and go to crazy lengths to find out what he wants to know, a trait he got from his father. On many occasions, Boss Mouse who has bad dealings with Eckhart's father and grandfather will try to make his life difficult or sometimes put them in such a situation that would result in dire consequences. However, with the help of his friends and community, Eckhart strives to get through.

Simply a breathless show with great intentions! Could stand to be better and not recommended that you watch it every day. However, the first time you see it, I promise you... it will steal your heart away. =)

  • The somewhat unexciting adventures of a young mouse and his animal friends.

From its pilot, "The True Meaning of Crumbfest", which was shown many months before the series, comes the compilation of episodes to continue after the events of the pilot in which a young mouse lives in a large town and he tries to learn about life and how his mistakes impact him and others. Not that bad, but, admittedly, stil need work. Then again, being on the bridge of cancellation, I don't think it has the chance to improve.moreless
