This movie needs to be re-released in 3-D. They have so many movies coming out in 3-D (ie: Little Mermaid, Star Wars, Finding Nemo), why not release the greatest movie of all time, Ed, Edd n' Eddy's Big Picture Show. Ed, Edd n' Eddy's Big Picture Show ED would be the title. The film would be awesome in 3-D with two new music videos and would finally be out on Blu-Ray Combo Pack and DVD (and Blu-Ray 3-D Combo Pack). Plus a bunch of behind the scenes stuff on the discs. Either this or a live action 3-D movie in theaters.moreless

  • A perfect way to say farewell to an awesome TV show

Ed, Edd, n' Eddy went out with a bang in this TV movies series finale. In this movie the Eds latest scam has gone horribly wrong and the neighborhood kids are out for their blood. Eddy decides to lead Double-D and Ed to his older brother in order to be granted sanctuary. Meanwhile the kids rally to find the Eds before they find Eddy's big brother. Even the Kanker Sisters join in the hunt to protect their boyfriends. Along the way, the Eds and the kids do humorous things such as Kevin being completely oblivious of Nazz loving him and he gets beaten up constantly and Ed and Eddy making fun of Double-D's compass device. The movie has that nice feeling that Ed, Edd, n' Eddy has brought over the years. We then finally meet Eddy's brother who turns out to be a gigantic jerk to Eddy and the kids are so appalled by this, that they try to save the Eds. After dealing with Eddy's big brother, Eddy has a breakdown and admits everything he told about his brother was a lie so he could be popular. The movie does a great job showing the sorrow and remorse that Eddy shows, you could really feel that he was sorry for everything he ever did to the kids. The kids have a change of heart and they accept the Eds, well most of them. Johnny came too late and starts beating up the Eds, but the kids rescue them and Johnny becomes the new outcast going insane and being underground. Even Sarah treats everyone kindly now and it was such a happy ending for the Eds. Our movie ends with the Kanker sisters dragging Eddy's big brother's knocked out body into his trailer so they can have "fun". The artwork and animation still remains true to the show's format and it was well done. My only complaint with this movie had to be that we never did learn what was under Double-D's hat again. It left a big plot hole and it should have been resolved in this movie. It took the Eds 130 episodes, 4 specials, and a movie, that's 135 episodes total. This was such a fantastic way to end the series, but it's also sad to see Ed, Edd, n' Eddy leave us. For over 10 years, this show brought us unending laughs and great characters, and for that we say farewell to Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, and thank you for those good times and we will never forget them.moreless
  • End of an era!

    8.5
I hate that the Cartoon Network of Cartoon Cartoons has now ended as that era will be replaced by reality tv crap and live-action things from here on out as the times have changed. At least the Eds had gone out on a good note. We see the brother of Eddy as the Eds scam goes awry. Plus, we see that Eddy is apologetic for the first time. After all the scams he has caused. Because he only wanted to be accepted, him and his buddies. Also he lied about his brother being so cool. Only to be a total jerk for the way he mistreats his brother. Ed aka Lumpy, finally lets his brother have it. The Eds are welcomed and finally get a good ending after having so many terrible endings. We wil never get to sadly see what is under Edd's aka Double D's hat. But who cares since it is now a happy ending.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (27)

    • In the Smosh episode "A merry gangsta Christmas", at the scene where one of the gangstas say 2 Double Ds. The gangsta pulls out 2 pieces of paper with the same portrait of Double D from Ed Edd n' Eddy on it. Marking Double D made a cameo.

    • Sarah and Jimmy don't seem to know what happened despite the major damage to the Cul-de-Sac

    • Eddy is frightened when he sees what is under Edd's hat, covering his eyes. Why so? When he saw what was under Edd's hat in "Stop, Look, Ed", he didn't seem that scared, just surprised.

    • If you pay attention in the scene where Ed is trying to get his sock off to use as a sack, you can ironically see a sock on his bed.

    • In the scene where Jimmy first runs into the Kanker Sisters, he knocks over a bunch of laundry which scatters about the ground. In the laundry there are boxers that have the Canadian flag on them- probably because the show was made in Canada.

    • This movie originally aired in a widescreen format.

    • After months of delays, the movie finally aired in the United States on November 8, 2009.

    • Despite not knowing what the scam was that caused this mess, there were many clues to it. During the beginning of the movie showing the scene where the scam went bad, there was a torn sign that said "Right Here", a bag of quick drying cement, a balloon tied to a brick, a shorted-out toaster with toast in it, an outline of Nazz in black paint on the fence, a bowling ball, a broken record player, and an overturned canoe and ice cream truck. During the scene where the kids are chasing the Eds, Rolf has bite marks on his arm and side, Kevin's clothes are torn, Johnny has a mousetrap on his thumb and a bear trap on his head, Plank is burned and cut, and Nazz is in a broken magician's magic box with most of her hair shaved off. During the scene with Double D and Eddy's fight, Eddy mentioned the scam involved a machine Double D built, and Double D said Eddy pushed a red button Double D told him not push.

    • Before Jonny enters Captain Melonhead's secret lair, Plank was still falling apart from earlier. But after Jonny and Plank come out from the lair, Plank is suddenly repaired.

    • At the end everybody became Eddy's friend and are more respectful to the Eds.

    • How is Plank able to drive the bus and honk the horn when he has no arms or legs?

    • In this movie, Jonny said that he never rode a bus before, but he has rode the school bus before in past episodes, in one episode where he was going on a field trip he even went straight to the back with no fear at all, maybe he wasn't talking about the school bus.

    • Ed's right shoe and sock is absent for the entire movie, only appears for the first few seconds.

    • At one point when the Kankers were in the Sunflowers field, Lee is shown to have three 3 eyes. It was when Lee heard rustling in the fields after Sarah flicked away a ladybug and Lee noticed it and she looked up and for a split second, she is shown to have 3 eyes!

    • The movie contains proof that the Eds and the other children do live during our time. Look at the cup that Double-D uses to listen to the children that are outside of Eddy's big brother's door. It says, "Peach Creek Diner-2000 Best Eater". This indicates that his brother won the title when he was still living at home and this would lead us to logically conclude that the Peach Creek children live during our time. NOTE: This Technically could be disproven by the fact that the Ed has with the gag factory ad in it was printed over 10 years ago and the Calendar in the office at the factory had the year "1978" on it. Which could put the show taking place in the late 80s to early 90s. ANOTHER NOTE: It's possible that the calender is old, seeing as it's impossible to get a cup with the year 2000 on it during the 80s and 90s.

    • Nazz's last name is revealed to be "Van Fartonschmeer".

    • Although it was confirmed the mystery of Edd's hat would be revealed, it was not.

    • Running Gags:
1.) The Eds arguing who's fault it was that caused the kids to chase them.
2.) The kids going by any length to chase the Eds.
3.) Eddy and Ed gets into a deadly situation, scaring Edd but is then revealed that they're okay.
4.) Kevin caring more for his bike than anyone else.
      5.) The Kankers capturing people.

    • Captain Melonhead and Splinter the Wonder Wood make another appearance.

    • Throughout the movie Nazz made it obvious that her crush was Kevin but after their last scene together and when they were all at Eddy's brother's trailer she looks infatuated to hear about him and see him sort of, and at the end she kisses Eddy, probably because he told the truth but still.

    • According to the voice of Nazz she did a recording session with the Eds, but there were almost no scenes with the Eds and Nazz in one place together.

Answer: That's also probably a deleted scene since Nazz is with the other kids for most of the movie and she is suppose to be against the Eds along with Kevin and the others, it wouldn't have made any sense for her to be with all three of them.

    • When the Eds are on top of the ferris wheel you can see a light house and bay, but it looks like they could have been in New York or even California.

    • Apparently, as it turns out everything Eddy said about his brother was a lie, which could only mean no one had actually met his brother, or at least not recently because Eddy's brother seems to remember them.

    • We don't actually see what's under Edd's hat, but it might simply be a deleted scene on the dvd.

    • Eddy's brother appears in this movie.

    • The Friendship song from "If it Smells Like An Ed" is sung at the end of the movie.

    • It is never actually revealed what scam the Eds did to the neighborhood kids.

  • QUOTES (14)

  • NOTES (18)

    • When Edd says in the end that it only took 130 episodes 4 specials and a movie he should of said it took 130 episodes 4 specials 3 video games and a movie as there were 3 Ed, Edd n' Eddy video games 1 for game boy advance 1 for ps2 and game boy advance and other things and 1 for the ds.

    • This is the second time they show Eddy's brother's room.

    • With this movie, the Ed, Edd n' Eddy series has come to an end after ten years. Whats more, with this show being the last Cartoon Cartoon series airing, the era of Cartoon Cartoons has also come to an end.

    • At the end of the movie, Jonny and Plank become the Cul-De-Sac outcasts and go from being Captain Melonhead and Splinter the Wonderwood to Villains Gourd and Timber the Dark Shard.

    • The movie seems to be a little more profane than other episodes due to the fact that multiple times it almost sounds that Rolf will curse but has been revealed to be false and that Ed and Eddy laugh multiple times at the word "Sextant"

    • Jonny has a secret Captain Melonhead lair in a tree.

    • Fourth Wall Break: In the end, Plank inaudibly told Jonny that the movie is over, and Jonny asked, "WHAT Movie?".

    • Fourth Wall Break: When the Eds are in Eddy's Brothers room and the kids are chasing them, they see a glass that says "In Case Of Movie Break Glass".

    • Fourth Wall Break: When Eddy says that the Eds are finally part of the in-crowd, Edd says "And it only took 130 episodes, 4 specials and a movie."

    • When Eddy shocks Ed with some gum, he morphs into his fish form from when he was allergic to eels in Dueling Eds, cartoon Ed from Ed-n-Seek, mascot costume from Tight End Ed, his Lothar costume from Ed,Edd And Eddy's Boo Haw Haw, Old Ed from Take This Ed And Shove It, Young Ed from Every Which Way But Ed and a Hot Dog.

    • The movie has already aired in 7 countries.

    • This is possibly the last episode of Ed Edd N Eddy unless Danny decides to make a season 7 but in an interview he said he is not.

    • They have cut the part that shows whats under Double-D's hat, but it may be possible that they will add it as a "deleted scene" if there's a DVD.

    • Cartoon Network will have a 'Best of Ed, Edd n Eddy' marathon leading up to the showing of the movie.

    • This is ment to be the final episode,
but it may not be if the animators decide to continue on season 6.

    • People say that this movie will be the season 6 finale but thats not confirmed yet

    • The burning question, What's Under Edd's Hat? was not revealed in the movie.

    • This is Ed Edd N Eddy's first ever movie.

  • ALLUSIONS (9)

    • Sonic Adventure

The basic plot of the story can be loosely related to the storyline of the hit Sega Dreamcast game (and its Gamecube remake), Sonic Adventure. In the game, every character (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, and E-102 Gamma) each had their own purpose in which to explore similar to how the Eds, Kevin/ Nazz, Rolf, Jonny/Plank, and Jimmy/Sarah do. Although the latter mentioned all share the objective of finding the Eds,they each come across different obstacles and must endure a certain setback during their journey; as do Ed, Double D, and Eddy, on their quest to find Eddy's brother. Also, although the characters' paths don't cross each others', like in Sonic Adventure, they all come together in the end to face a 'greater threat'(Chaos for the game, Eddy's brother for the movie). Once the greater threat is "vanquished", the characters' efforts have all paid off and everything is well again.

    • Ed: The hills are alive, Eddy!
Eddy: Yeah, with the sound of an idiot.

This line is an obvious reference to the movie The Sound of Music.

    • The entire movie may be an allusion to the movie: O' Brother Where Art Thou. Three friends trying to outrum "consequences", the leader offering the friends a reward at the end for helping, and in the end we learn the leader was lying. All of these are shared between the two.

    • Jurassic Park

The way Kevin smashed Eddy's Brother's car with his head is an obvious reference to the film Jurassic Park, where the Tyrannosaurus Rex did same as to the Land Cruiser on Isla Nublar in the famous T-Rex Car Chase.

The Eds being stalked by the Cul-de-Sac kid residents while trying to escape in Eddy's Brother's room with the door like a metal door is a almost-very obvious parody of The Lost World: Jurassic Park, where Dr. Ian Malcolm, his girlfriend and daughter both are in a shack with a metal door but there are Velociraptors that are stalking them. Ian Malcolm also tried to escape in a car just like the Eds, but failed to.

    • Tom and Jerry

The way Jonny was in iron-bites, a mousetrap, and a teeth-bite trap is a reference to Tom from the popular Tom and Jerry.

    • The Flintstones

The way Ed puts his feet into Eddy's Brother's Car is an obvious reference to the Flintstones.

    • Monster A-Go Go

The title "Mondo A-Go Go" is a reference to the movie Monster A-Go Go.

    • When the eds are walking through the cow pasture they are saying how Ed doesn't have a brain, how Eddy doesn't have a heart and Edd says to himself to have courage.

This is a reference to The Wizard of Oz

    • Rolf: Do you think this is party time from 1999?

This is either a reference to the first episode or even the song "party like it's 1999".
