Jimmy was the only one hurt, but when Ed smashes the fence, Sarah was squashed. So she should have been hurt too.
When Ed and Eddy go to wash their soup bowls, Ed's bowl is empty, though he was never shown eating it. Reply: There's a scene where Ed wasn't shown, it's safe to assume he ate the soup during this scene.
It seemed to take at least a minute for Plank to fall from the sky after Ed and Eddy knocks them out of Jonny's hands. This would be impossible considering that Plank didn't go too high into the sky. Reply: It's a cartoon, it was intended to fall on Edd's hands how long it took or would take to fall is irrelevant.
Why would the other kids blame Edd for what Ed and Eddy does? It is not his fault. Reply: They probably thought what Ed and Eddy did was all part of a prank and Edd was in charge.
When Double-D runs away from the mob of kids, he runs past a fire hydrant, however, the next scene shows him peeking from behind the hydrant, though he never hid behind it. reply: Every cartoon known to history had a hiding scene similar to that one.
Ed: I say tomato. Eddy: Yeah? Well I say you're an idiot! Edd: Gentlemen please. Ed: Alley-op! Edd: Have you two lost your senses? You could have bruised my bananas!
Eddy: Tell me again Ed, why are we wearing these bandages on our heads? Ed: For free lunch from Double-D, Eddy McGee! (both laugh) Eddy: Tell me again Ed, why? Ed: 'Cause Double-D said so, Eddy the... uh... I dunno!
Kevin: Hey Double D! COME HERE! I got somthin' for ya!(has a handle bar in his hand and you know what he is going to do) Edd: Have Mercy!
Edd: What are you doing? Eddy: Giving Rolf a hand, I can smell him a mile away!
Rolf: Rolf WAS the son of a shepherd! Now Rolf is the posterior of a duck! Nazz: (with a bag over her head) Yeah, well you don't even want to know what they did to me! Jonny: I'm sick just thinking about it! Sarah: Someone's gonna pay for this! Kevin: I hate dorks! (everyone chases Edd, but he hides behind a water hydrant)
Edd (pointing to his hat which is tied in a Pretzel like-knot): Kevin said he is going to do this to my legs.
Edd: Not the screen again, Ed. Father hasn't recovered from the last time you... Eddy: (chases Ed with the broccoli) Eat it, Ed!
Ed: Stay away, fluffy green stalky thing!
Ed breaks Edd's screendoor for the second time in the series. Edd even comments as such.
There are no scams in this episode.
We learn that Ed and Eddy are scared of broccoli.
Here is the list of things Ed and Eddy did to annoy the kids: Rolf - getting him wet, ruining his eggplants Jonny - tearing up his kite Nazz - unknown because she put a bag over her head Jimmy - tying him to a rock, getting him covered in paint Kevin - brushing his teeth, wrecking his bike
Running gag(s): 1) Ed and Eddy getting scared of the broccoli. 2) Eddy tricking Ed into running around a tree instead of chasing him. 3) Edd trying to re-educate Eddy and Ed by pulling bandages off the back of their head when they misbehave. 4) Ed and Eddy purposefully annoying the neighborhood kids.
Edd: ...a little Pavlovian training... Edd says this line when talking about his process of "maturing" Ed and Eddy. Ivan Pavlov was a psychologist of the late eighteenth century, who experimented with conditioned stimuli tests. The success of experiments, particularly those involving the salivating of dogs, earned him his spot in history and a name for his research: "classic conditioning" or "Pavlovian conditioning.
Title
My Fair Ed
"My fair Ed" is obviously taken from "My fair lady", a movie in which a man tries to "civilize" a woman to win a bet.
Cartoon King: My Fair Wrestler/Ed
The plot of this episode is very similar to an episode of Hulk Hogan's Rock 'N' Wrestling. The episode of Hulk Hogan's Rock 'N' Wrestling was entitled My Fair Wrestler and featured Captain Lou Albano learning to be a proper gentleman.
