In the beginning of this episode, nobody including Ed was fooled when Eddy tries to trick people into thinking he had underarm hair. They all knew it was a piece of carpet.
Eddy hasn't gone through puberty yet in this episode but in "X Marks the Ed" he was going through puberty
To above question, Eddy wasn't even aware that Edd had also put carpeting under his arm pits, and so he couldn't have forced Edd to do it. Edd must have also originally thought that underarm growth was a sign of maturity, and secretly did it before Eddy, until he discovered what happened when Eddy tried.
If Edd likes the violin so much then why doesn't take violin lessons himself? Reply: His parents maybe don't let him.
If Edd said faking underarm grown won't fool everyone into believing he's has matured, why did do the same thing? Response: Eddy could have forced him to.
Eddy: (to Kevin) Hey, Igneroid! Whose more mature, now? Kevin: (bursts out laughing) The dork's faking puberty!
Eddy: (repeated line) I HATE violins!!!
Eddy: Hey ED! Check out these pits Ed looks at Eddy Ed: Nice carpet, Eddy!
Ed: Position and pose starts by fanning your toes and placing your left foot right.
Jimmy (reacting to Ed's playing): That's repulsive!
Eddy: Hey Jonny boy! Jonny: Hi-a Eddy! Eddy: Hey, porcupine, I'd like to introduce you to my new pal, Saw-tooth Cecil. Jonny: Look out, Plank! (Runs) I'll save you, buddy!
Eddy: It's like an elephant's off your back, huh, Lumpy? Ed: Tell me a story, Eddy. Sarah: Ed! You're supposed to be practicing! Mom said so! Ed: I am so confused. Eddy: (to Sarah) Get out of my room, ya twerp! Sarah: Move it! (drags Ed behind her by his ear, squishing Eddy) Edd: Eddy, Sarah's here.
Eddy: Why, if I played an instrument, I'd get something manly, like a ... kazoo or somethin'. (pause) What?
Ed: Practice I must or Sarah my head will bust.
Eddy: Hey Ed, check out these pits! Ed: Nice carpet, Eddy.
Edd: Ed, I didn't know you played an instrument. Ed: In my mom's dreams I can.
Eddy: Now what? Edd: Um... we could call on Ed. Ed: (walking on) Do not bother, Double-D, he is not home.
Edd: Don't you dare, Eddy! That instrument has a legacy! Ed: And four strings.
This is the second time Eddy creates an imaginary friend (a saw) to interact with Jonny, however, this time, it is intended to scare Jonny rather than befriend him.
We learn that Ed is a horrible violin player.
There are no scams in this episode.
Jonny (and possibly plank) is the only person that actually likes Ed's music.
The irony is that Double-D ends up breaking the violin after all his attempts to keep it safe.
Running gag(s): 1) Ed playing his violin everywhere he goes and doing it badly. 2) Eddy trying to destroy the violin, while either Jimmy or Edd discourages him otherwise.
Eddy hasn't gone through puberty yet.
While spying on the Eds, Jimmy pretends to pick flowers, act like a girl shepherd, sit in a baby carriage, act like a bird in a tree, and dresses as a rabbit in a bush.
Pain in the Ed: Phrase This a parody to the saying "Pain in the Neck" or "Pain in the Back". Meaning something is annoying, or bothersome.
Double-D: I'm sure you'll agree Niccolo Paganini was no sissy!
Niccolo Paganini is considered by many to be one of the most brilliant violin players in the history of mankind (and, apparently, he was no sissy). Check out the link below to learn more about him.
