Eddy's latest scam is a roaring success... due to the fact that the multi-purpose "Thing-a-ma-jigs" he sold the other kids are really boxes full of junk. But before Eddy can spend his ill-gotten gains, the masked super-hero Captain Melonhead (really a thinly-disguised Johnny, with Plank as his sidekick "Splinter the Wood Wonder") clobbers Eddy and returns the money to the victims of his scam. Outraged, Eddy plots revenge by luring Melonhead and Splinter into an ambush, where he assumes the identity of supervillain "Professor Scam".moreless

When Double-D and Ed claim whats the figure on the power line, EDD says, "Is that a bird?". However, Eddy asks if it has a quarter in its mouth. This happened in Vert-ed-go, (season 1), when a bird stole a quarter from Eddy.
While Eddy is showing off the Thing-a-Majig, he uses it to put a hat on Ed's head. In the next scene, the hat disappears.
There is no way that the Eds could fit such large objects, like a chair and hat, inside the Thing-a-Majig.
Eddy: Oh, I know who it is!!...Okay so I don't know.
Ed: Oh, no! Double D! Professor Scam has unmasked Captain Melonhead!
(Rolf sees MelonHead tied up and hung by a tree)
Rolf: Look! Our hero dangles like Victor's milkspouts!
MelonHead:(shocked) Victor's got milkspouts?!
Ed: But Eddy, not my gravy.
Ed: He must be some comic-book hero guy.
Edd: Hold your horses this butt has been used.
Eddy: Oh, yeah? Well my Ray of Richness will curl your toes.
(Dollar signs come out of his forehead)
Jonny: Think fast, Melonhead.
(he uses his mask to deflect and absorb the rays)
Ed: The Ray of Richness will never penetrate the force "peel" of Melon.
(Eddy removes Captain Melonhead's mask, only to find he's got another one on)
Jonny: There's two sides to every melon, Professor Scam.
Double-D: That was clever.
Jonny: Your money is safe and sound, good citizens of the cul-de-sac! Rip-offs are a thing of the past, for I, Captain Melonhead, and Splinter the Wonder Wood will protect you!
Rolf: (confused) Is the circus in town?
Ed: (after Melonhead jumps Eddy) Did you see that? He just swooped in and POW! Right in your kisser, Eddy! I bet he's got, like, mutant-powered feet or something.
(Jonny *Melon head* is giving a big heroic speech)
Kevin: Give it a rest, Jonny.
Sarah: Yeah, we already heard it.
Jimmy: (waving goodbye) Toodle-oo, Captain Melonhead!
Rolf: What a fine head of produce he has, yes?
Jonny: Back to the Melon Cave Wonderwood! (while running) Another day, another doughnut. Huh, buddy?
Ed: Oh, look! Up in the sky!
Double-D: Is that a bird?
Ed: Could be a plane...
Eddy: What bird?! Does it have a quarter in its mouth?
Ed: My gravy is safe to ferment another day, Double-D.
Double-D: Thank you for sharing that information, Ed.
