May's stupidity is shown in this episode when she doesn't know the number for 911
With all the shaking and banging the bottle, would've the ship inside get damaged or destroyed even if the ship is glued together.
Why didn't the Eds break the bottle on something hard like the ground instead of going through all the trouble of taking it out? REPLY: They might've don't know who the bottle belonging until the owner, The Kankers, show up at Edd's door after getting a tip from Sarah.
When the Kankers leave Edd's house with their ship in a bottle, Eddy's finger isn't in the faucet. In the next scene, his finger is stuck.
Throughout the episode, the ship in a bottle on Ed's finger switches to another finger and/or is on the other hand.
When Edd goes to open the door for the Kankers there was no lock, but when Edd locks the door and walks away it is there.
After Double-D and Eddy chase after Ed and Kevin threatens them not to come back, the Kankers appear and break open the fence, looking for their ship in a bottle. When this happens, look closely at Marie; she's wearing her ordinary clothes when they bust through the fence, but when they close up the fence, she is wearing the sleeping outfit she wore at the beginning of the episode.
How were the Eds forced out of the faucet when they weren't in the pipes?
Ed didn't seem to have a problem with soap in "Over Your Ed" when Double-D & Eddy were cleaning him up. But in this episode he seems to have a big problem with it.
On the title screen, a credit says "Tout Le Monde" but the "Storyboard By" was missing
(After Ed fell with the bottle still stuck to his finger) Eddy: Don't sweat Ed! My dad's got a hacksaw.
(remembering seeing Ed with the ship-in-a-bottle, and getting the mask off her mouth) Sarah: WAIT! I know who has a ship-in-a-bottle. Lee Kranker: Is that so? (the scene leaves with Sarah grinning, letting the viewers know the Eds are next)
Ed: (Running away from Edd and Eddy who have soap) Evil soap! Evil soap! Evil sudsy, slippery soap!
Kevin: (opens his fridge) I believe this belongs to you. (Ed is sleeping inside. Eddy bursts out laughing) Double-D: Sleepwalking again? We'll have Ed vacated ASAP, Kevin Kevin: Lucky for you, dorks. I've got chores to do, or I wouldn't have to pound you. Double-D: Oh, Ed, Ed. Rise and shine, sleepy head. (Eddy blows a horn to wake up Ed) Ed: (wakes up and stands) Private Do Not Enter is ready and waiting.
Lee: A little birdy told us you have something of ours. Double-D: (Looks at ship in bottle, chains door calmly) Oh lord! that ship-in-a-bottle belongs to the Kankers!!! Eddy: KANKERS?! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!
Rolf: (afterwards) The stench of immortal doom still thickens the air, yes? Or perhaps it is Wilfred's cabbage evacuations, hard to tell.
Double-D: Just as I thought, Eddy. Ed's swollen finger will thwart any attempts to remove the bottle. Eddy: Oh, I'll give it a thwart!
Ed: (waking up) Private Do-Not-Enter is ready for duty, chief!
(Eddy's finger is stuck in the faucet) Double-D: A little soap will do the trick! Ed: And I'll get the Kankers since they are a whiz with stuck fingers!
Jimmy: It's the end of the world as we know it!
Eddy: KANKERS!!!!! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!!!!!
May: What number do you dial for 911?
What Edd said towards the end of the episode was quite true: this is one of few episodes where everyone, except the Eds were uninjured.
Running gag(s): 1)The Kankers destroying the cul-de-sac. 2)Eddy trying to get the bottle of Ed's finger. 3)Eddy and Edd trying to put soap on Ed but Ed keeps running away.
It's revealed in the this episode that not only does Ed avoid using soap, he seems to be afraid of it.
This is the second time Eddy's finger has gotten stuck somewhere.
Ed was never dressed in his daily clothes during this whole episode.
This is the second episode in which the Kanker's weren't interested in loving the Eds; they just wanted their ship in a bottle back.
After its second airing at 8:30 on 3-13-04, "Run For Your Ed" was first, then "Hand Me Down Ed" was next.
This episode seems to be a parody of two movies: Twister (hence Rolf hiding underneath his basement) and Dawn of the Dead (hence the neighborhood in shambles w/ some characters running around).
This is the second time Ed sleepwalks, the first was in "A Glass of Warm Ed".
The Kanker Family Heirloom is a ship in a bottle
This is the second time the Ed's are staying out of someone's sight. The first time is in "For Your Ed's Only."
Run for Your Ed: Phrase The title of this episode is a play on the phrase "Run for your life".
Jimmy: "It's the end of the world as we know it!"
That is a song by "R.E.M."
